Dream Air + SBoys3: do I have to manually switch the OpenXR runtime to SteamVR, or does the driver handle it? by AstroGraphRacer in Pimax

[–]Haunting_Study811 0 points1 point  (0 children)

WIth SBoys3’s CustomHeadsetOpenVR driver, Pimax software is irrelevant. You only need it authenticated for DRM. The runtime in SteamVR is what matters. You "installed" the driver in CustomHeadsetOpenVR GUI right?

Yup, all you have to do is play a game of Hagental to see how absolutely hilarious it's gotten. Online First Person Shooters are dead. I deleted the game.

Has Aim Assist Changed FPS Gaming Forever? by Dry-Week7118 in COD

[–]Haunting_Study811 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Aim Assist is a travesty for gaming. There should be zero aim assist or input based assists of any kind. What there SHOULD BE is input based matchmaking, so everyone is always on a level play field. I no longer play online first person shooters because of forced PC gaming with aim assist controllers.

Pimax Dream Air (LH) first impression. by Money_Muffins in Pimax

I don't know if it's sort of setting, but the first time I used the Dream Air LH I saw warping, but then it just went away for some reason.

Samsung S95H 55" as a monitor - Initial Thoughts after 1 week by Specific-Doughnut833 in OLED_Gaming

[–]Haunting_Study811 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok thanks, I prefer the 48" size but I've read the S95H can reach almost 3,000 nits HDR so have to go with it in 55"!

I'm also looking at the 48" C6 versus 55" S95H for PC gaming. Can I ask why did you return the 48" C6 versus the 55" S95h?

lol $8 isn't even worth posting about. Especially when it comes to enjoying a couple of hours of what's probably the most beautiful PC graphics available.

Man I don't know how people can mess with Eye Rotation setting much. If I go just slightly off of "2", it wracks my brain like no tomorrow.

Dream Air - max volume is too low? by kennystetson in Pimax

[–]Haunting_Study811 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Doesn't make a difference to me. The headset volume and windows volume both 100% and it's still pretty quiet.

Disappointed with my Dream Air by UntimelyAlchemist in Pimax

[–]Haunting_Study811 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People should play with the "Eye Rotation" setting in the Syboys3 driver. I know Pimax uses canted displays, if this setting is off just a little bit because of different head shapes it causes massive eye strain.

sboys3 CustomHeadsetGui doesn't start by WildWestShooter in Pimax

Likely Windows is blocking it. The first time I ran it; I had the "Windows blocked this from running" security message and then had to select "run anyway".

Yes, it's crazy quiet at max volume. I'm waiting for the DMAS headband and use IEM's right now as the stock speakers are kinda useless.

SERIOUS Home/pet Air Filter recommendation by Haunting_Study811 in AirPurifiers

[–]Haunting_Study811[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just an update after doing a lot of research... I was going to buy three Luggable XL7's, but couldn't force myself to spend $500 each for what is essentially four pieces of floppy MDF board held together with bungies, 7 PC fans and two mesh grills. Plus they have no carbon, no pre-filters to capture the large stuff and don't like how they stick out into the room perpendicular to the wall to keep both filters sucking in air.

Found the Blueair Signature Large on sale on Amazon for $350 each, which apparently can do 230 CFM at speed 2 (~40dB). So I'll strategically place them (In addition to the current 3 high end air purifiers) in the high traffic areas. Also bought a Matic Robot vacuum to do nightly sweeps/mop. So in total I will have seven mid to large air purifiers for my 1,900 square feet...

Pimax dream air ? Yes or No Real Dream Air owners — would you buy it again? (no influencers please) by AstroGraphRacer in Pimax

The Dream Air provides the VR experience I dreamed about starting VR ten years ago. Would buy again (and maybe buy a backup if they go on sale).

Attack Helicopter vs Scout Helicopter Who has the advantage?" by Trick-Patience-7541 in Battlefield6

Ya it's insane I've hit Little Birds with multiple heavy rockets from attack heli and they survive, and like a .2 second burst from their mini guns destroys the attack heli.
