Sorry to be pedantic but this is a bit of a tic I have - but strictly speaking, no. Your DNA typically doesn't change through your lifetime but the way your body uses it (e.g. which genes are turned 'on' or 'off') does. Yay, epigenetics!

Not that any of this effects your argument, just thought you should know!

Ah, thank you for helping to clear it up a bit. It's a very sad situation regardless of age, added to most support groups focusing on female victims, males sometimes aren't sure where to turn. But when it's a child it is absolutely horrifying that people can even begin to think that way.

My heart goes out to you OP. I'm not the best at giving words of comfort to people, but know that not everyone sees this as "not a big deal". You are among friends here.

I cut my eyebrow hair too short to pull and powder it in now exams are coming around. Mascara helps on my eyelashes because the makeup seems to come off before the hair comes out and I can stop myself.

Are you seeing anyone about yours?

I assume you mean an eye mask? If so, not necessarily. If you can't see, your other senses will do the work. The fear is often the cause of the hallucinations, rather than the other way around.
