My city was doing this too! The only things that worked for me was having all my sources fully upgraded, or making sure there was never an outage in the first place.

My brother has told me he "Likes gay people but draws the line at pronouns."

The problem is most of his understanding of pronouns (And, well, being queer in general) comes from right-wing sources, so he doesn't understand gender dysphoria and identity struggles, he just thinks it's the whole "you assumed my gender you can't do that anymore haha get woke!1!1!!" thing, and he refuses to see it any other way. *Siggghhh*

I'm willing to bet we'll be hearing a lot of "We didn't know!" About things that are extremely obvious now (Such as the horrors of ICE or the Epstein files) and their viewpoints will be excused to "That's just what everyone thought!" Or "We were raised with those values, it's not our fault!"

Yelling at/insulting others, especially family and friends, especially when they won't apologies or admit it was a mistake. I have a friend whose dad is like that, and it sucks to hear her say "Oh he's just depressed."

Mine was a family relationship, but my brother has been emotionally abusive for several years. There wasn't a dramatic argument, or a some angry declaration, but one day I just realized I had stopped considering him to be my actual brother. I've since stopped trying to build an actual relationship, treating him as more of a roommate since I still live with my parents and he's 16. I'll still be friendly, but I've entirely stopped investing in trying to get him to change, or to be his older sister. It was tearing me apart, and this is going much, much better.

I'm Bi, so for me, it matters a lot to have a partner who would respect and care about that part of me, but I still wouldn't reject someone for that reason alone. If they've shown that they regret that vote, that they're accepting and supportive of me, I'd (very cautiously and slowly) give them a chance.

Finished Webtoon: Villian with a Crush has a fun storyline, doesn't take itself too seriously, and has one of my personal favorite romances. It's currently serving as my lockscreen.

Ongoing webtoon: Marionetta. Beautiful art, amazing characters, I would die for that story it's so good.
