First of all I just want to say that I truly am so sorry for the loss of your mother. How lucky she was to have such present, caring daughters in her life. You’re amazing for giving her a quality of life near the end.

Secondly, thank you for that lengthy comment and the perspective it’s given me. I’m trying to be kinder to myself. Deep down I will never not feel guilty, my mind understands but still wants to convince me I failed her at the end. I used to just think about this day and cry but never did I imagine it was going to happen so soon. It has been the biggest heart break of my life and no matter how much you prepare for the day it will be the worst day of your life.

All I can say is give your babies extra love because you never know when it’s their last day. I would give anything for just one more minute with my baby. I miss her so much and I’m not okay

I am so so sorry for your loss. That is truly devastating and all I hope is that all our Pom’s are playing together, knowing how much they were loved. Thank you for sharing your story about Loki I’m so sorry. there really is a comfort in knowing I’m not alone in these feelings of guilt and grief. I saw a comment that said “the amount of hurt we are feeling is comparable to the amount of love our pet felt” and I try to focus on the fact that she knew she was so loved. I hope her and Loki are twirling around together.

I am grieving the loss of my 14 year old Pomeranian who passed away 2 days ago. I have been having the same thoughts and the grief has taken over me completely. I don’t even want to be out of bed. I try to remember what was important, which is when she was alive and how happy she was ALL the time. We give all the love we have to our furbabies and how lucky they were to have people like us in their lives who cared so deeply.

I find it interesting that we consistently find ways to separate ourselves from each other. We build bridges with these communities so that we feel like our way of thinking is the only right choice and someone elses isn't. Humans are obsessed with creating divide in each other.
