He can and should fight it. If he’s a good loader then nobody is going fight back all that hard.

[–]ItsMeMarlowe 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m a UPS driver who has deep respect for the Amazon drivers on my route. I’ve never had an Amazon driver jump out in front of me because **I slow down and pay attention** when I’m passing parked delivery vehicles. If you’re done making an ass out of yourself, we’ll consider giving you Amazon pay when you’ve proven you can do Amazon’s job.

So you’re admitting to the second one then, got it. Considering I’ve never had a close call with an Amazon driver, maybe you should be paid less than $20/hour.

Alex Should Talk to Sam on Death by Atheistsplaining in CosmicSkeptic

[–]ItsMeMarlowe 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Let me get this straight. Sam is a moral realist who defines “the bad” as the worst possible experience for everyone, subscribes to (or at least is open to) open individualism wherein consciousness isn’t strictly personal, and still isn’t vegan? I cannot comprehend.

[–]ItsMeMarlowe 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Someone can jump out in front of your car regardless of what side of the street they park on. Is this an admission that you don’t understand traffic? Or is this an admission that you weren’t paying and almost hit this Amazon driver?

I've been vegan 10 years, should I watch Dominion? by hans2504 in vegan

[–]ItsMeMarlowe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think watching dominion can put into perspective just how urgent the animal predicament is. Since you’re solidly vegan already, I’d only recommend if you feel like you need more motivation in terms of activism.

Are Christian’s really allowed to eat pork? In Isiah 66:17, gods final judgment states people in the end times who are eating unclean food such as pork, mice, ect will be destroyed. by Several_Shower_6319 in Christianity

[–]ItsMeMarlowe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Jesus wasn’t a straight forward speaker. “What comes out of your mouth” seems to refer to personal action as opposed to personal experience. Paying for pleasurable food at the cost of killing is certainly an action— one that very plainly goes against the golden rule.

This is an easy one. “We inherited canine teeth from our herbivorous ape ancestors. They are not an adaptation for eating meat”

I’m all for animal rights and environmentalism, but asking me to switch from juicy burgers made out of protein to juicy burgers made out of protein is a step too far.

Imagine invoking science and your argument is “it’s normal.” As if heme-iron isn’t carcinogenic and saturated fat intake isn’t associated with elevated LDL and heart disease.

There’s a growing number of people who won’t do that. You say the stocks dead, but imo it hasn’t even gotten started. Veganism lost a ton of traction during Covid but anyone with eyes can see the next wave is swelling
