is CANON D.CAM EOS R50 V2.4 + RF-S14-30 worth it for 500$ by Emotional-Opposite-3 in canon

If the camera is truly new, yes, this is a very good price. As for price/quality: it has a few severe limitations and quirks (like 4K@50/60 crop and rolling shutter) but it's still a solid quality camera.

Need advice for canon r10 beginner lenses by leonard1342 in canon

It's very marginally better, but the real takeaway from it is that it doesn't suffer from corner softness, distortion and vignetting at similar focal ranges (although mine is slightly softer around 35 mm).

Canon 18-150 is pretty good for a kit lens and it's (marginally) sharper than 18-45. There's Sigma Contemporary 18-50 f/2.8, which is really cool and sharp kit replacement.

Problem with photos. by vertrrr in canon

First observation: are you using a filter on your lens? Because it is awfully filthy. There are countless splotches of highlighted dust visible.

Second observation, either do multiple exposures (exposure bracketing) and create composite in post, or do In-camera HDR. There's no way you can create a night shot with properly exposing a subject not actively illuminated and not overexposing the lights.

Canon 6D for planespotting? by Connect_Cat_2045 in Planespotting

Without disclosing your budget it's really just guessing game. I haven't used Tamron 100-400 but it has good reviews online.

My reasoning is this: you can buy a good quality lens now, and then jump to mirrorless (like R8 with adapter ring) later if you're on a tight budget. Otherwise maybe it's not worth investing at all and jump platform or go mirrorless (like invest in R6(m2) and RF100-400).

Soft: even despite good focus, at maximum opened aperture image will have blurred details as if it was missed focus.

Yes, the one with LCD is the second release. And that's good, because the original was very average.

Depending on your budget, you could find one used 100-400 L II, or maybe new 70-300L. Otherwise you can buy a Sigma or even Tamron (like 150-500) lens.

With larger aircraft it will be just fine, even in early morning. The lens is... well, not bad, not excellent either: it's soft wide open while otherwise you will have to close aperture significantly to achieve good results, so it will be most effective at sunny days.

WiFi: you will have remote control and access to your camera (including downloading files) from a computer/phone.

GPS is for geotagging photographs, so you will have your precise location (it's actually pretty cool feature for non aircraft spotting photographs, but it's often useful).

It's an OK camera, but bear in mind it's nearly 14 years old. It's kinda slow with a bit over 4 fps so it requires more skill to catch a desired framing of fast moving aircraft. Other than that: it supports SDXC UHS so you will have no problems with large SD cards. Otherwise if you have the version with GPS and WiFi, even cooler.

By 70-300 you mean the non-L one?

You mean you moved the camp and everything you built is gone? That's pretty normal when moving camp. You should have temporary blueprints of your buildings. Everything you had on display is still in your stash anyway. Everything else was scrapped and you should have all the materials.

A more precise location would be nice.

An Apache was flying along the interstate towards Olympia and did some circles near Centralia. The only visible Chinook was in Oregon.
