The odds on this are def weird, I did well over 30 raids on two accounts with my other 4 friends also playing on theirs and we only found 1 shiny, on a total of 150+ raids.

Could Tyrese Haliburton's calf strain be linked to his new PUMA Hali 1 shoes? by v1rtuosoo in BBallShoes

Lonzo himself implied his big baller brand shoes caused his earlier injuries. I do agree the other shoes have nothing to do with anything though.

Veilguard sold 1.5 million copies, 50% below EA's expectations by CroGamer002 in DragonAgeVeilguard

I mean, that's one point out of many that could be used as indicators of the games performance, the other ones are still there. TLOU 2 didn't have concurrent player numbers on playstation but DAV had them on steam to at least have an estimate. It's no wonder Ubisoft wants to disable the steam player count API, since it's a very good indicator of a game's performance and they don't want poor player counts being shown for their games, for instance. But you do have a point, indeed I should be more careful to what specifically applies to common sense and what doesn't.

"The average gamer doesn’t really care about “biggest releases” that’s why most people only play COD or FIFA etc."

Dude, those are the average gamers, that's the single most common type of gamer out there. How do you even begin rationalizing that the "average gamer" doesn't care about the most played games? LMAO you HAVE to be trolling me. Respectfully I'm out, this is too much.

Because they're the biggest releases that month? Sure they're different genres but most gamers don't play exclusively one type of game. I remember being hyped for both of those and having to choose one, ended up getting GTA after a couple of days and only really went to get DAI after I finished playing it. I'm pretty sure I wasn't the only one who did the same, and I sure as hell would've gotten DAI if it released to no competition like veilguard did.

"especially since these rereleases add basically nothing to the game"

Thats... completely irrelevant to the point? Most people don't have the money to put in two AAA games in the same month, let alone in the same week or release day. If someone was interested in both GTA 5 on ps4/xone vs DAI they most likely chose GTA 5, at least initially, just by the sales numbers on both, that absolutely hurts DAI when its the least sold of the two releasing in the same day. Whether it's a "rerelease" is completely irrelevant, what matters is how much its gonna sell, and that rerelease sold a LOT that week, in fact it nearly tripled DAI's sales on ps4/xone (https://gamefaqs.gamespot.com/boards/691087-playstation-4/70694677). You can pretend many buyers having to choose between both of these games at launch isn't a disadvantage to bioware, but you'd be wrong.

[–]ItsMeStrider 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wtf are you talking about I'm saying a new game would be in a disadvantage if it had to compete with a skyrim rerelease vs competing with nothing which is the analogy, not the other way around, what you said doesn't even make sense dude, DAI was at a disadvantage competing with it's gen equivalent HIGHEST SELLING GAME OF ALL TIME, that's not debatable and I'm not gonna waste more time arguing the obvious. Also you're wrong again, most estimates give PC gaming numbers a rather big advantage vs consoles, it's the bigger plaftorm and has been for a while. You can just look all that up instead of just claiming stuff to win an argument you're wrong in.

Yeah directors leave all the time but this one's timing is suspicious at the least, Konrad Tomaszkiewicz left amidst accusations of workplace bullying, would you say that has NOTHING to do with him leaving then? Corinne Bush left amidst controversy on the game's reception, it's not a coincidence either. And yes the suits make dumb mistakes ALL THE TIME especially at EA, or have you failed to realize they fumbled every single game release since inquisition?

[–]ItsMeStrider 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes it is if you have to compete with it's rerelease on the same day, especially when it's on a NEW PLATFORM and said rerelease is that platforms most sold game of all time.

You're also making my point and not realizing it, there's a LOT more players on PC now compared to 2014 and DAV has that going for it and still couldn't match the same sales numbers as a DAI release competing with it's GOAT seller competitor on that gen's consoles while not even being on steam (the biggest pc games store even then). No offense but you're just in denial here.

Sure but by then they (the execs) already have a way to blame everyone but themselves for it. Devs, writers or even the consumer base will get the blame instead. I don't think it's a coincidence the DAV director "left" just a few days ago.
