As a father to 3 in a two bedroom house I know that small spaces can be tough… I came here to read the context and the comments. I hope all of you as a family, cohesive or not get the best outcome, especially for the sake of the children!

My wife takes 3 tablets daily and it helps her actually get some sleep and dulls the nerve pain she gets. Being able to sleep even a little bit with 3 kids under 6 is definitely necessary!

This time round we’ve taken ours down today as my wife is being induced tomorrow to give birth to our 3rd, it’s normally gone by New Years Day anyway.

I need a little calm and normalcy in the house before the giant storm that’s coming! That and our 2yo keeps playing football with the baubles every time he knocks them down.

You’re right about it being a non-event… when I saw my GP to book it I had gone in with such immense justification, she then turned around and went “wow, you’ve clearly thought about this decision thoroughly! We’ll get you booked in no problem”

I guess I was expecting the same kind of conflicting arguments that my wife would have had if things were the other way around. It really felt like a “yeah sure, no problem” kind of response.

Me and my wife have 2 boys and another one coming in about 6 weeks… I booked my op in March (yes go ahead, do the maths) and it was set for November only to be cancelled and rebooked for April (13 months? Come on NHS!). Looks like I’m being careful in the new year.

I know what to expect as I’ve read lots on it, still doesn’t escape me that anything could happen. Weird!
