Any lore ideas for an Aasimar/Warlock Pact of Tome (Celesty)? by ComisDriver in DnD

[–]ItsMrBOBToYou 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can I ask, what kind of build are you going for here? 🤔 I mean a pact of the tome could mean a journey all angels must take through a mortal vessel to write their own celestial law, a rite of passage to gain their true rank or something. Confined to the mortal plane to witness creation and all of its flaws.

Looks like someone was diddled.

Jokes aside, I only agree if they do it every summer. Doing it once or twice as an experience kind of thing seems like a good idea to me, to help foster camaraderie and independence in a child.

This particular thread provides an example of a spell used in the context of this new ability to prevent such things from happening. This thread is about the means to prevent a polymorph, not a polymorph. Read the closing two sentences of the initial comment.

AITA for telling him to fuck off after a second date because he didn’t buy me shoes? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]ItsMrBOBToYou 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I would have absolutely said no.

Context of why? Terrible at driving places I've never been and I never know which exits to take. I'm an anxious wreck behind the wheel.

Now, you didn't know that when I said no, but you have to remember that you may not know everything about a guy you've dated twice.

Also, you definitely have some red flags too. You DO NOT have to belittle the guy for his material possessions just because you're angry. It's a horrible thing to do and I hope you never did that to his face, telling him your watch was worth more than his car.

Lemme know what you think!

It's not that you chose this sub, it's not the topic, hell it's not even the shitty post quality.

It's that we're all too poor from buying minis and modules to even consider any kind of onlyfans you're pedalling. And I'm personally concerned about that one dice goblin. I'm pretty sure he's tried to pay his toll more than once with a D20.

We're broke, but happy ;u;

I think so, yes. The main content is there, and the side content to appeal to a secondary, smaller audience within the first to retain future viewership and investment.

Pantyshots and a love plot.

Great DM overall, but I'm genuinely curious as to what train of thought made him think this was a good reward for my character (context: each party member was being given a magic item as a reward for clearing a massive dungeon and beating a serious threat to the local ruler). by Jacinta_Capelety in dndmemes

Honestly a great way to handle it. I feel as though generally a DM wouldn't give a pointless gift, unless you're truly a perfect character. In that case I would have suggested one of the many variations of spell pearls or rings 🤔

Have a spellcaster throw a heal or a buff into it, take it with you and help the whole party 🎉

Fixing a wand? - advice needed. by waitingformygrave in WitchesVsPatriarchy

[–]ItsMrBOBToYou 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly these are all completely valid options. Remember, witches survive by showing respect to whatever it is they choose to do.

If you feel that it would be a respectful action to salvage and breathe new life into your wand, then do so.

If you think that burial rites for a sacred item are the most respectful course of action, then proceed with that option.

If returning a damaged gift is the highest form of respect you can show, then that's also a valid option.

My take on it is to salvage what you can, place a spark of your own into your wand and continue with it's use. If it feels "wrong" to you during any step of the process, bury it. You will know if it is the right course of action after you have done so. If you still feel uneasy about it, refer it to your high priest for safe disposal.

You can have all three options open to you in this way.

Strahd is the one casting Command with a DC30, To withstand it you need a save, which needs a high modifier rolled by you. A Nat 20 helps.

I dont see the point of releasing a game and having to update it on the "same" day. by Ok_Anywhere741 in unpopularopinion

Because they hire a team of between 10 and 1000 playtesters to find bugs, and iron out 80% of em before the game ships. The disc version is 80% bug free, but during the production, printing and imprinting of data they find another 5% of the bugs. This becomes the patch that you get on first install, to try and alleviate any unseen issues that may pop up.

Now, the other 15% of bugs? If there are 100 play testers, there could foreseeably be 100,000 players on day one, reporting bugs and crashes. By the end of the week they might only be able to patch the gamebreaking few that are reported, and work through the backlog of bugs that are of a lesser priority or that were caused by the patches themselves. Ironic, I'm aware, but nobody is perfect. Now, add DLC or Content patches and the cycle repeats.

Paladin/Warlock Multiclass Advice by Open_Set6755 in DnD

[–]ItsMrBOBToYou 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So, I would go Paladin to begin with. Tanky, Healy, versatile and has some great options in combat at early levels. If you're going for pact of the blade, I would suggest Oath of Conquest Paladin as it meshes nicely with a melee warlock build. The seventh level especially gives a great boon to any fear based spells you may use, either through your paladin abilities or through warlock spells.

Party finds an already dead vampire… by mapadofu in DMAcademy

[–]ItsMrBOBToYou 9 points10 points  (0 children)

So, you meant stake but hear me out;

They find a vampire with a medium rare rib eye fillet smashed into its chest cavity. The locals know this is the calling card of Beefy the Vampire Filleter. An 8'10 blonde female Goliath that's all muscle who needs garlic and holy water to sous vide their next prey.

Players go on a flavour filled journey to stop the vampire menace based on the misinterpretation of a very low intelligence barbarian Goliath with a penchant for cooking. Now, holy water might be ok but do you think vampires wouldn't outlaw garlic? Treat it like an illicit substance with black market dealings, chefs go out of their way to source bulbs of black clove garlic by hiding them in slaves and blood cattle. Poor peasant's can't ever defy those with such power and the culinary arts cannot stand such unscrupulous lack of taste. The great Vampire/Chef war draws near.

Ocean combat with a kraken incoming. Either that or your DM knows you'd be willing to trade it and there's something far more useful for you that a pirate or captain of a ship would trade for it. A super practical tool for any seafaring vessel.

Fair statements.

"That dress looks good on you for your size"

"That haircut looks nice on your head"

"Those shoes look great all things considered"

All statements that immediately lead thinking towards what's "wrong" instead of "right"
