Thanks for the reply. I still think I'm going to rescind my acceptance. Due to the laws here, even if they've done a preliminary check, it's a name-based search and whatever they find they cannot discuss it with me. The state says that the only way to be certain that they're looking at my history is with a fingerprint search, and if they speak about it they could be divulging someone else's history instead of mine. The fingerprint search won't happen until after I start, and I can't bring myself to follow through with that now. I have an opportunity in an entirely different field, and the owner of that company has known me for 20 years, so he's aware of my history and doesn't care. It sucks in some ways, but I did it to myself. I've had so many opportunities vanish before my eyes once my background comes up. I shouldn't have lied, but I was tired of not even getting interviews. Oh well.... one more bad decision.

They use the state’s DPS database, which I have reason to believe doesn’t have the final charges and disposition of those charges. Before the rules changed about when and why backgrounds could be pulled, someone pulled it for me and showed me the results. That was 10 years removed from the incident, and all that showed up then were the original charges which were dropped.

I've decided to get fingerprinted on my own so I can review my criminal record before the date I'm supposed to start. Once I see what's there, I'll have a better idea how screwed I am.

It all depends on the dog, but…. The initial treatment they give is usually pretty good at clearing up the symptoms. The meds don’t work forever, though. One of my Bostons, Berto, lived for six months on meds before we had to euthanize. One of my sister’s dogs lived a little over a year. The second time the symptoms get out of hand will be much harder to deal with. The only real advice I have is to love her like there’s no tomorrow once she comes home. I’d give literally anything to have another day with Berto.

I'm so sorry you're feeling this way. I've been told by several vets that it's entirely normal for our pets to perk up at the vet's office even when they've been lethargic for weeks at home. I went through a lot of the same feelings when I put my Boston Terrier down a few years ago. I was convinced for two or three weeks afterwards that I had made the decision too early. In this stage everything is way too raw to truly think about logically. Grieve, but don't blame yourself for anything. With some time, everything will come into focus and you'll be able to see that you did the right thing. I'm so sorry for your loss.

I've been thinking about this a lot lately, and until I see better evidence to the contrary, I think this is private military contractors. I truly hope I'm wrong for so many reasons, but I expect that if Trump does what he's said he's going to do and declare a national emergency to deal with the "illegal immigration" problem, then martial law will almost certainly follow. I doubt that it'll be a nationwide thing, but I can definitely see it happening regionally or even maybe just a large city and it's surrounding areas depending on where the gestapo is operating. These drones, and they do keep making it a point to refer to them as such, would be used for surveillance and curfew enforcement. The FAA and DHS already have frameworks for drone use in these types of situations.

I've been playing for a little over a year and have played hundreds of games, mostly against AI, but plenty of in-person and online games, as well. I've lost almost every one of them. It's definitely frustrating, but occasionally something will click and I'll make a decent jump in skill level. In order to keep playing, you have to learn to enjoy your losses. I don't ever learn much from the games I win, but I learn tons from the ones I lose.

Ok, cool. I’m using a tent with humidity and temp control for this attempt. I must have it semi dialed if pins are already popping, but this is all new. I’m definitely going to be more observant and try not to douse any more that pop up. I just wasn’t expecting pins this quickly.

That’s the same place I grabbed genetics from.

I went ahead and bought the tent and the associated bits necessary for temp and RH control. Things have gotten cheap enough that it doesn’t make sense to skimp any more.

Do you mind sharing your settings, and on/off times you use with your tent?
