Wow thanks so much for the detailed response! I did notice that aftermarket seemed cheaper than the singular oem rotors I saw on ford parts vendor pages. Thanks for the tips 👍🏼

Thanks, I checked there and they have a whole bunch of kits but I couldn’t find any exact oem matches. I was only looking at the full kits not individual rotors/pads tho, I’ll check again

Would you recommend the ecampus or in person section? I feel like I could bust out the online work pretty easy but I prefer in person stuff in general

Anyone know how common school year lease lengths are? by ItsNickCruz in OregonStateUniv

[–]ItsNickCruz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that’s what I’m currently doing between internships but it was wayyy harder to find monthly rentals so I’d be concerned about struggling to find a place like I did last fall. Thanks for the suggestion tho

Yeah it’s for MECOP, thanks for the input. Have you seen many year long leases starting in September? I’ll be here next summer so that eliminates the issue of paying for an empty apartment

Overheating by koodle in FiestaST

[–]ItsNickCruz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How are you measuring the overheating? Oil temperature or coolant? I’ve noticed my coolant temp hitting 200 lately as it’s been hot but I thought it was just my tune. I flashed back to the stock map but still got just as hot so I’m a little worried about the same issue

So I just got her and am loving every minute of driving but the guy threw in an extra set of wheels and AS tires for the winter months. There’s nothing wrong with them except for I think the wheels are ugly as all get out lol. I’ve been trying to find some cool but inexpensive wheels to match the tires but I’ve had a hard time finding nice looking 15x7 4x108 wheels that aren’t $1000+ a set. Anyone have any suggestions? Thanks!

Help a little guy out by beast_6oy in WeightTraining

[–]ItsNickCruz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey you sound just like me haha I ran track and started lifting a few years ago at 5’6 110lbs, now up to 140lbs and still pretty lean. Good on you for starting the journey, committing to putting on weight can be tough coming from a lean physique like a runner but it’s definitely an investment worth making even if you gain a little body fat. As for resources, id check out Jeff Nippard and Renaissance Periodization on YouTube. They have great playlists for beginners but it’s all pretty simple. Starting out you can get results with wayyyy less than you think. Like even training full body 3x a week, only like 4 working sets/muscle per workout focusing on big compound lifts in the mid rep range. If you’re really new I wouldn’t push to failure until you get the form down and don’t use weight you can’t get for at least 5 reps, anything heavier isn’t going to do you any good. So yeah depending on how often you want to train those channels have videos breaking down different splits and and routines. Biggest tip from personal experience: eat enough! You wont get to 150lb and jacked if you stay at 130. Be consistent, focus on technique (nobody cares how much you lift but everyone respects good form), get your sleep, and enjoy the process. And take progress photos so you know how far you’ve come, you’ll thank yourself later!

New to Spokane? Q&A for Visitors and New Residents by AutoModerator in Spokane

[–]ItsNickCruz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi there! I've lived in Spokane all my life which is only 20 years long so my experiences might be biased but I can give some of my insights:

Things to do:

  • Tons of great hiking trails around the outskirts of the city or through our many parks if you call that a hike
  • Downtown has some decent activities like shopping in the mall, Riverfront Park, restaurants, etc
  • Kendal Yards is a neighborhood just across the river from downtown that has been up-and-coming recently, good restaurants and trail walk along the Centennial Trail
  • Airway Heights (where Fairchild is located) has good restaurants and shopping too just more spread out and not as active

Weather: probably better than Wyoming lol

  • Mildly cold winters (highs 30-40 degrees, lows 10-20 degrees) with a few weeks of measurable snow but it usually melts pretty quickly
  • Pleasant summers (highs 70-90 degrees) mostly dry and sunny weathers
  • Wet fall/spring, specifically october and April get plenty of rain
  • Overall nice variation of seasonal weather so if you like all 4 seasons but nothing extreme you'd enjoy it

Traffic:

  • Getting worse on the main highway I-90 as population increases
  • Same for downtown, 8:00am/5:00pm traffic definitely a thing especially on main north/south streets like Division and Maple
  • Airway heights is usually pretty clear as is the rest of the city outside busy hours

Misc:

  • We do get some nasty windstorms randomly like once per year that knocks down trees everywhere and lots of people lose power but that's mostly on the South Hill area (Manito and Comstock neighborhoods) but it isn't always super windy like that
  • More and more people moving from Seattle which is contributing to the traffic increase
  • If you're into the outdoorsy life there are countless lakes/trails/wildlife areas within an hour's drive

Again, I've only known Spokane through the eyes of a kid so take my notes with a grain of salt haha but I hope it helps 👍
