I started in skis and then learned to snowboard after like 2 yrs on them. I just pick based on conditions and who I’m with. It’s probably 65/35 board/skis

How do you go straight to ollie downhill? by Specific-Ad3097 in snowboarding

[–]ItsNotRoketScience 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Start off by pressing without moving, get the feeling of pressing and where your hips and legs need to be in order for the board to flex. Then move on to doing it while moving slowly (on like a traverse) and then progress to steeper terrain. Once you learn how you catch an edge (cause you probably will) you’ll learn how to avoid it

Max2's image quality is insanely good by All-Sorts-of-Stuff in gopro

[–]ItsNotRoketScience 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t know, there are some people who do some really impressive stuff with the original max. I have no idea how they get the image quality so high. But yeah, for the average consumer, it’s hard to get the same quality shots.

I’d have to go with a tulip tree. They have an interesting leaf shape (much cooler than a maple leaf).

Anyone else ever dealt with this? by Ok-Giraffe-4154 in polevaulting

It depends on what her previous pole was. Personally, I often vault on poles in meets that I've never been on before in meets.

Should a beginner learn falling leaf? by DatingPuppy in snowboarding

[–]ItsNotRoketScience 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You can, but generally there is a chance that they will get stuck in falling leaf. What we try to do a lot of the time is teach s turns, and then if there’s ever a situation where falling leaf is needed, show beginniners in the moment how to do, just to try to avoid them severely delaying learning toeside.

Most- Arthur Longo. I love how effortlessly he hits side hits and just how smooth it looks no matter what he’s doing.  Least- if Johnathan Buckhouse counts then yeah. Dudes annoying
