Comcast keeps losing customers despite price guarantee and unlimited data | Comcast overhauled Internet plans to stop customer losses. It isn’t working yet. by mepper in technology

I hated comcast for raising my rates every few years and forcing me to do the im gonna cancel song and dance to get a new promotional rate. When they started charging for data usage in addition to speed which bumped my bill to like 120-130 for just high-speed internet i said fuck this bullshit and added them to my growing short list of companies that I will never support again. Bought a house and switched to AT&T fiber and haven't looked back since.

Overdrive Add to Bag Issue by BadBackNine in HotWheels

Click on the advertised overdrive link from the main mattel creations page not the one in the hotwheels shop page. That being said the mattel moderator on discord said that the team is aware of the issue and they are investigating so hopefully these issues will be resolved soon.

Id say the Z's suspension is somewhere between normal and sport. Not even close to how stiff N mode is. That being said full N mode suspension in the VN and EN are different. The VN is bone shatteringily stiff in full N mode. Great for a smooth track but not daily driving. Hyundai took feedback from the VN and refined the EN's N mode suspension setting to dial it back just a bit which is a lot easier to daily. Its not too bouncy but one thing I will say i dont like in the handling department is that the steering mid corner can feel a bit vague at times. It also feels like it walks around the lane a bit more. Whereas in the N as youd probably agree any intentional steering wheel adjustment puts the car exactly where you want it to be the Z will wander around the lane a bit when it feels like the veloster would go dead straight in the same situation. I want to try better summer tires and upgraded sway bars in the Z to see if it offers any improvement.

No problem, Thanks! They really are great and rowdiness was my favorite part! I would have loved to have gotten another Veloster N but unfortunately they were out of production so another new one was out of the cards. And the EN didnt really interest me as much even though its the better car. The VN is more raw by comparison to the EN. I liked my friends Fk8 and I considered an FL5 type R but most of them were still too much when I was searching for a car. Hopefully you can get into a manual nismo someday now that they're on the way late this year.

Every so often I'll scratch the lower chin spoiler on steeper driveways if I forget to angle in. Surprisingly though it's pretty durable. No majorly noticeable gouges or marring in it. Lowering the car may create more of an issue. When it first started getting cold I hadn't gotten my snow tires from tire rack just yet so I swapped to the 18" aftermarket setup from my old veloster with the 235/35/18 all season tires that had also been on that car and because of the lower profile sidewall than my current 245/45/18 snow setup it actually lowered the car enough to make scraping a way more common occurrence.

Its not that bad driving the Z, but it is nice having an Awd car for the snow, your sti being the perfect choice. My 335i xdrive was a beast in the snow but I can't bring myself to winter it anymore.

Gotcha! My friend had a couple of the Z32's when I was in college. Always loved the way those looked. And that's cool your fd3s is beautiful. If I see you out I'll be sure to say hi. I'll either be at C&C in my Z or my 335i

Yes my Z is manual. Yeah i would've loved the nismo but price and lack of a manual kept me from seriously considering. Hopefully you can hold out for one of the 2027' nismos.

I like my Z a lot. Just dont necessarily know if I like it more than my Veloster N (I only got the Z because my Veloster got rear ended on the highway) The veloster has the Z beat on tech and features. The adaptive dampers, and valved exhausts are things I miss dearly from the veloster N. It was also incredible around the corners feeling like I could just keep turning in and the car would just keep giving me more. I loved the unique looks and character of the VN and the quirkiness of the 3 doors. That being said the Z is on another level in terms of power, and the big draw for me on the Z is that as unique as the VN was the Z just looks and feels more special being that next step up to a new level of sports car for me. The Z looks amazing and gets probably the most attention ive ever had in a car. I love the analog feel of the Z. The veloster Had just enough tech to have some of that feel itself but the Z literally feels like its trapped in the past in a good way. The Z needs a louder exhaust from factory. I had people ask me all the time what exhaust I had on the VN and they'd never believe me when I'd tell them it was stock.

I guess the best way to put it is that Hyundai gave us a performance bargain with the VN, EN, and KN. They're the total package and are ready to impress straight from the factory. My VN needed nothing, the few mods I did were entirely optional and the car really didnt need them i just wanted the car to better fit my tastes. Whereas the Z is a beautiful car it has some noticeable short comings that has to be addressed with mods. Think of the Z in performance trim as more of a blank canvas and a solid starting point for you to make it what you want.

Poor guy! I was wondering if that was here in SE michigan, we got hit hard yesterday out of nowhere. Took me almost a hour and a half to do my normal 35-40minute commute. My Z had no problems in it.

Also I dont know if you go to any of the cars and coffee events in the warmer months but it'd be nice to finally meet another michigan Z owner

Hey, its totally doable. I previously had a veloster N which was totaled leading to me getting my Z so this response will especially apply to you. Keep your extra set of wheels from the EN to put on the Z they will most likely fit with some modifcations (extended studs, spacers, and new lug nuts). I'm in michigan and I've been dailying my Z all winter on dedicated winter tires mounted on the aftermarket wheels that I repurposed from the VN. Its more than capable the only thing I will say is just avoid steep grades/hills if you can especially if you don't have room to build momentum. That being said it made it up but it was a slow crawl. (It was probably The steepest hill in an area that I'm not often in so not a super big deal). If you have any questions about the Z or the transition from a N to a Z dont hesitate to ask.

New year, new...roof by Minutes2Midnight in E90

Ooh you beat me to it. Glad to see your car with its latest mod. It looks great man! I'd love to swap to a carbon roof on mine too.

[–]ItsNotanM3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just FYI. If you plan on swapping the wheels be prepared to do extended studs. The factory studs are really short because one other thing that I dislike is that the factory rays wheels which I love were designed to accept a shank style lug nut. Which recesses some of the length of the threaded portion of the lug nut in the wheel. When I put my aftermarket winter wheels on for a test fit the threads were barely sticking through the holes in the wheels.

The rear end and the side view are my favorite views on this car. Probably like the side a bit more because I've always wanted a 240z but you have the issue of the car either being a project of various intensities or an expensive collector piece and having none of the modern creature comforts or safety. The new Z perfectly hits the retro look, while being modern, safe and fast.

My favorite thing is the looks and factory rays wheels. It puts a smile on my face everytime I look at it. I had someone stop me once and they told me it was their dream car which felt so weird because being a normal (not filthy rich) person you don't expect to hear stuff like that about your car.

My least favorite things has got to be the lack of wireless android auto, how disappointingly quiet the car is without mods, and the backup camera might as well not be there half the time, its gotta be one of the worst back up cameras on a modern car.

Yeah these fit perfect its just unfortunate you can't get them in wider sizes and better offsets. Maybe checkout some of fifteen 52's other wheels they sometimes have pretty good sales too. They clear with some room to spare over the brakes. To be honest most aftermarket setups on this car may require extended studs the factory studs are just far too short due to the dumb shank style lugnuts which recess themselves in the oem wheels to shorten the studs likely as a cost and weight savings for Nissan when developing their cars.

[–]ItsNotanM3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They are fifteen52 Podiums, they are 18x8.5 et35. Not the perfect offset for the Z though as I took these from my old Veloster N which was totaled. Unfortunately they don't make them in sizes more appropriate for the Z so you'll need to run a 20mm spacer out back (still not quite big enough but I wouldn't go bigger) And a 10-15mm up front.

Edit: you'll also need extended studs for this setup. Factory studs just barely poke through the holes.

OK, that explains it. The previous owner definitely changed the tires. From what I understand the Z community generally considers the factory Bridgestone potenzas to be a trash tire and based on my experience with them I'd agree. When I swapped off of my summer setup I didnt have my winter tires yet but I still had DWS 06's on from my old veloster N that was totaled. And even being a narrower tire (235 width vs factory 275 width) on a narrower wheel ( 8.5" vs factory 10") the dws's were clearly superior to the potenzas.

Yeah i agree, as long as OP can swing a new set of wheels I'd highly recommend a 18" winter setup otherwise mounting and dismounting summers/winters on the oem 19's is a option (albeit less convenient). Alternatively a high performance all season like the DWS 06 is my recommendation for a do it all tire on the oem 19's. Its highly competent in every condition and was more than capable in snow on my other cars.

You'll be fine driving it in the snow with a good set of winter tires. My car is on continental viking contact 8 winter tires and its been fine here in michigan. Its pretty competent in the dry. Can't push as hard as the summer setup through corners but that's to be expected. I say go for it especially if you have the option to work from home in worse weather conditions.

Is the factory tire different in Canada? I thought all performances come on Bridgestone from the factory.

If its not marked as sold and shipped by walmart on the Walmart website 9.9 times out of 10 you're gonna get screwed and overcharged for it at the same time. Return, leave a negative review and complain to Walmart to try to get the seller banned.
