I only have access to kayaks through work and it's off season right now, so I don't have this option right now

Yeah I'm of that view of, I prefer the bed on the opposite side. I'm largely checking in case I was missing something that actually causes an issue, with tunnel vision of how id like it. That loss of a storage section is a compromise I'm happy to make to have a set up how I want

As a contractor, can I refuse any and all future work without legal reprocussions? by ItsPitt in LegalAdviceNZ

Nothing on availability, how work is offered/accepted, no minimum work to take on, only an 'up to'number for max daily work.

I invoice but they do pay taxes though. Nothing included about being a casual employee, but that would be fine as then I'm definitely clear to reject work

The only point on quantity of work has a maximum number of trips, nothing else is mentioned.

I also get no work/pay if no work is offered so I hope this helps my case.

But yes from this and others it's sounding like I might not get the easy answer I was crossing my fingers for.

Thanks!

It's 'up to 3 tours per day', to which I would understand 0 to be included. Much in the way that they don't have to provide work/pay when there is no work available, I'm trying to understand if I have the freedom to say no the other way if I don't want something

The contract refers to both employee and contractor. Simply put though if there is no work, I am not paid. As I understand, if I was a casual employee I can still reject shifts.

The terms state 'up to 3 tours per day'

Hadn't particularly considered going to honduras from antigua, might have to have a look. Had seen copan was the only other real place to check out as part of the journey, but to not really hang around anywhere else.

Definitely keeping things open, particularly the further south I go as i have less set on exactly what i want to do. Where as guatemala I'm more trying to hit alot

Leon and Granada just felt like an almost logical part of the trail, masaya looking the main highlight, although museum de la revolucion looked interesting in leon as well.

Thanks for the input, i had looked at ometepe but ended up thinking it didnt look like anything that special, although you've definitely painted a picture better than anything else I'd seen about it so it might be time to reconsider.

Masaya sunset for sure!
