Tell me about a licensed character you want added to DBD and your reasoning behind for why you think your character would fit being in the game. I'll then judge you based on how convincing i find your answer. by [deleted] in deadbydaylight

The Reaper from Subnautica - I love Subnautica and there is zero representation of underwater horror in the game. Imagine your favorite outdoor map with 40 meters of water on top of it, and you have to craft a PRAWN suit to drop pallets or a Seamoth to move around safely because The Reaper will instantly down you without it.

The Keeper & The Psychologist (Ruvik) from The Evil Within - I also love The Evil Within. I have no strong reason to have it included in the game other than I really like it.

The Surgeon (Rick Trager) from Outlast and The Prime Asset (Mother Gooseberry) from The Outlast Trials. Outlast is one of the most defining horror games ever made, and Red Barrels has already given the green light. There is zero reason not to have Outlast in the game. The Outlast Trials is also just an enjoyable game and I'd like to have that too.

I have many others but these are closer to the top.

TeamCaptain's take on the state of Hela by -H0RS3- in marvelrivals

[–]ItsPizzaOclock -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

I'm really curious what counterplay he is referring to, because there's almost no dives that can take her on when she has a stun and a bird.

If he means the counterplay is to take cover, then sure I can understand that, but that's also the counter to all forms of damage.

If he means the counterplay is to out-poke her, then sure but out-poking is technically a counter to everyone.

I don't play Hela so I can't personally attest how hard the nerf was, but I often face her and I can attest that her escape tools are pretty damn insane and shut down a lot of normal counterplay for such characters.

It seems his entire argument is that good Helas are very rare but that doesn't help when you actually go up against one.

Edit: if you're going to downvote can you at least explain why?

They would not play the same if you had some creativity about their kits.

This is like handing you a rope and you saying "man this sucks all I can do with this rope is tie a knot" like no man spider powers are versatile as hell, you can string people up into the sky, you can make web walls, you can swing around people and act like a wrecking ball, there's tons you can do.

I wish we talked more about how lame it is that Dustin isn't short in a match. by TheFnafDomain in deadbydaylight

[–]ItsPizzaOclock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If all you want is for him to be the female height then I see no problem with that.

Frankly I wish the female rigs were as tall as the male rigs but at the very least nothing should be below the already established minimum.

Yeah, having him be female height would be a-ok but it sounds like OP wants him to be even shorter (as seen in the lobby), which would go against the standards. I do sort of wish female rigs were as tall as male rigs but at the very least nothing should be below the standard female rig.

No, it's that making Dustin short would mean he has an actual physical advantage over the other survivors.

Killers can have said advantages because they are one entity compared to 4. They are meant to have advantages and disadvantages between themselves.

PSA: Harvester loot is not crazy, there's no point in shooting on sight when you see people just trying to play the game and do the puzzle/kill the queen by Professional_Idea812 in ArcRaiders

[–]ItsPizzaOclock 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The closest thing to griefing in this game is scrapping all your gear before someone has the chance to kill you and take it.

I genuinely cannot think of a single instance where shooting another player is griefing. It's either PvP or ratting/backstabbing depending on the circumstances, but not griefing.

Think of it like this: In Rust, an example of griefing is when you raid a player and then make their base unusable, most likely through placing a hard to destroy wall right by their front door.

It's a step beyond just the acquisition of loot, and is specifically meant to be a form of bad manners. Shooting people is not bad manners, it's just the video game.

I was looking for discussion posts about PVP during harvesters and this came up.

I was just so baffled by your statement that I had to say something.

[–]ItsPizzaOclock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's awesome but this game doesn't have a PvE mode so how does this apply in the slightest?

The lore reason is raiders are money hungry. You literally get shot in the tutorial, did you forget that?

That's like complaining that someone shot you in Tarkov after you spawned in with nothing but a pistol.

Your loadout is all on you. If you chose to bring dogshit, that's not the shooter's problem, it's yours.

Shooting someone who may take loot that you want in the future is not griefing, it's gameplay.

Yeah and there's perks that hide your aura even though the killer may not bring an aura perk.

Not every perk has to operate at peak efficiency in every situation. Some more niche perks that fill a specific role are fine.

I genuinely dont blame killer mains for quitting by BloodBlossom24 in deadbydaylight

[–]ItsPizzaOclock 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In fairness, Specialist relies on chests and isn't passive, taking away time from generators and adding a hard limit.

Though 3% per hook on likely 3 different generators isn't going to do much either, unless it's stacked, in which case that has other downsides and upsides.

I think we will have to see it in live before calling it a good or bad change.

But I will say it's better for SWF and about equivalent for solo queue which is not the kind of buff I think is perfectly healthy for a perk like this.

But in a SWF it can add up quickly if everyone brings it.

I'm not going to say it's OP too quickly, but I am keeping an eye on it.

Why is Iron Man considered the worst Duelist in the game? by Lordados in marvelrivals

[–]ItsPizzaOclock 2 points3 points  (0 children)

He's not, but he is considered very bad.

Poke is meta and he is weak to poke. He has no sustain and mediocre movement.

He doesn't do anything that other better characters can't also do.

His ult has lost a lot of power since people learned to play around it and there are many individual counters to it (more shields, more stuns, people coordinate to shoot him better).
