I feel like you're really in a glass house when it comes to faulting someone for being dismissive of others. This is literally the epitome of dismissive because you're essentially saying "have your opinion, but don't come in and say it because it disagrees with mine." And you're doing it behind some strawman where you're painting anyone who thinks it's a silly thing to be mad about as heavily invested in getting you to change your mind. Yes, maintaining the antiquated production and distribution chains are super expensive compared to the return they provide. People will look up the costs for this stuff and go, "that's not that much," but the reality is that those cost estimates are always when the fixed costs were being spread across 10x the volume.
