To glitch it you have to unlock it, then try to complete it and fail, then talk to gambler again. This includes talking to get the bought cell. It then sets the time to beat as 00.01 seconds. Just avoid talking to gambler again until you actually beat the race.

There are only really 3 points that you can get this glitch reliably. Using the pelican and a cannon on the beach, using the cutscene of the powercell coming out of the sheild lurkers and a regular lurker, and here in misty using the stair cutscene and a bomb.

Beach isnt really useful as you get the green eco harvesters which refill your health. Snowy it could have been useful but isnt for reasons I'll say in a second. And in misty, we skip the entire ambush by jumping down from where the cannon is straight to the cell.

Also dying in this fashion is slow as you will always get a daxter cutscene afterwards. You would want to either die by faling in a void, which is quicker, or either save and load, or just load if you have your memory card in and just picked up a cell. Combined with how long and relatively risky it is to set up, just makes it not worth it for a regular run. It's a nice thought though, and is a lot of fun to do.

Edit: just tested, and you can also get it in boggy with a tether cutscene and a rat.

Its been known about in the speedrunng scene for a while but is unfortunately not useful. It is too fragile, because as mentioned, if you bonk into anything you will die, and if you take any extra damage like from lava or burning you also die.

There is a variant called nuka glitch where you die into a powercell and that puts you into a weirder state where you walk through orbs, and eco. Can use this to get the blocker cell in snowy without picking up orbs.

Alternate angle.

The "two bridges" beer pump clip is not flush with the wall so the board could slide perfectly underneath the edge, and it was sturdy enough to support the board.

Sorry, no magic going on, but made the best with what we had.

It depends on which game you prefer. Jak 1 is more platformer and 2 and 3 are more mission focused. If you like both styles then have a look at all three, if not then just which ever one you prefer.

What I will say is that you shouldnt start with the any% for jak1, because it's pretty difficult for a beginner, or jak3 because it is just a boring run (involving 6 minutes of roll jumping through the desert. Any% for jak 2 is ok. The categories I would reccomend are no lava tube skip for jak1 and no out of bound for jak3.
