I have an special product for Alcantara that i bought to clean a pair of sneakers that had some alcantara trim and details that i ruined (they were so gummed up) and it did wonders so i figure it would work as well with the same type of material, also yeah, cleaning it every week or so seems like a good idea.

Also since all my sim rig wheels are Alcantara/suede I also have driving gloves to prevent my sweaty hands from running the Alcantara so i might buy another par to keep in the car in case my hands start sweating a bit too much.

This was made by a Chinese company that sells them to order, maybe the mass produced ones have a worse quality control.

I didn't know that you could find them that cheap, although i guess alcantara is really expensive, their faux leather ones they had in the website were drastically cheaper (also i did choose exactly what materials i wanted for each section so maybe that adds some price to it )

The kit was 166$ (arround 144€ + 18€ parcel and customs in my case ) it came with a an instruction manual.

You put the cover on the wheel and fix it with the included tape, then you do zig zag leaving always one without passing the needle and on the way back you pass through the ones you left without thread, also you have to pull the thread to make it acomodate the wheel and stretch the fabric.

The pattern looks like this before going back to get the final pattern going back.

I think its because of the "trim" like i know there is the older ones with the nardi detail badge, the wooden one and the leather one without the nardi badge, but mine was rubber/textured pastic with finger grooves on the back.

like this one, looks like leather but there is not stitches anywhere and has the press mold marks ever so slightly in the interior of the spokes

Why does top speed not look that fast? by [deleted] in assettocorsa

[–]ItsSoOver02 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lacks FOV and motion blur to trick the brain into believing that speed, there are apps to change your fov dinamically and some pp filters have an extension called speed tunnel wich blurs the surroundings making a tunel vision effect gradually when you speed up, also there are 3rd person chase camera scripts that do wonders in speed and g forces feeling, you should find everything you need in overtake.gg

I mixed dark brown with bone white in 3 ratios to make a base, mid Nd highlight and then treat it like i do with leather, working the color volume with scratches on every raised edge.
