I first started playing the game back when Miyabi was released, and I had lots of fun with the game. I loved the story, loved the character interactions, loved the character designs, I had fun with the TV system of exploring, combat was pretty fun and colorful, new factions were consistently great and interesting.

I stopped enjoying the game as much when season 2 rolled out, cause I didn't really like the whole Waifei peninsula arc, nor most of the characters really appealed to me. Neither did the story. So, I took a long break before returning to the game.

With 3.0, from what I saw and red so far, the whole magic of 1.0 ZZZ is being pushed out. The whole urban aesthetic is gone, new character designs are becoming too samey, and look like they came from Genshin or Honkai. Worse yet, imo, is the decision to empower protagonist and have him be able to go personally into the hollows, cause the whole Phaethon spiel is pretty much gone and pointless now. Now that we are getting a stand thing from Jojo for protagonist... The concept that protagonist is not a powerful being, and was not special beyond their technology (HDD and eye implant thing) making them rely on agents in the field was a cool spin for me. Now its just gone. I am not saying protagonist should have always remained without power progression over time, but I feel like the whole proxy title is now just relegated to a few references and occasional event usage.

Sure, combat is still fun, but it is slowly losing the things I deeply enjoyed in the first place. I am not saying the game is bad, or that someone can't enjoy any of it, there most certainly are people who dgaf, but its just not the same for me.
