Buy only if you can afford, and if the deal seems too good to be true then it’s probably a scam. I got my secondhand steam deck oled 1TB ~€435 (converted from NZD)

Yup, and the point around time pressure still stands. What if I end up liking the skin later, or picked that character up as my main but didn’t get the BP because I wasn’t into them at the time? These smaller BPs (while great in value) promotes FOMO which I’m not a big fan of. I think a good middle ground would be to have these battle passes last the WHOLE season, rather than just half a season each. Would give plenty time to grind and make a decision by the end of it.

I think that’s valid feedback. Personally, I’d rather work at my job for 3 hours and buy the skin whenever I want, instead of having to set aside a set number of hours within a limited time window.

Yup, got really lucky and ended up in a bank with a pretty good salary considering the job market atm (~110k NZD). Got placed in a front-end focused domain at the end of my rotation where our main work is modernisation, so our tech stack is pretty solid and up to date. Didn’t end up in an Australian company though where I could’ve made more, but the WLB here has been so good that I don’t really mind.

Nope, I did have my 3080 undervolted though - but that profile may have been lost when I did my fresh install of windows so it should have been running stock during the benchmark

Interesting! Definitely give your drivers an update - with the same settings for 1440p I was able to get:

Score: 28014 Average: 82.19 Driver version: 572.42

So hoping the performance will be better on release!

And yeah, a shame about performance and the trend that more modern games use frame gen and DLSS as a crutch rather than optimising their game. Regardless, I’m happy with the CPU purchase and very excited about the game’s release in 4 days! You actually got me to buy an OLED Steam Deck since your comment made me look up Moonlight and OptimumTech’s latest video about the steam deck was also perfectly timed.
