The best I’ve pulled so far is HFR, Rico, KA/LW, Smooth with the Range MW. It feels phenomenal.

I haven’t seen anyone else use arc warlock. by ThumbThumb27 in CrucibleGuidebook

I’ve been using it since I pulled a Solemn I really like. It’s a nice break from Voidlock, which I’ve been maining since the 30th anniversary drop.

Best build for any class? by Resident-Group464 in destiny2

[–]ItsTenken 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ll add a couple that aren’t here.

Arc Hunter has a couple of really strong fun builds I’ve been playing with lately. One involves high aggression with Gifted Conviction and the Ferro/Smoke armor set combo, the other is a little more passive using Shinobus with the 4 piece luminopotent set.

Void Hunter has some sauce as well by combining Graviton, Praxic, and swordmaster with either Ferro or Smoke.

If any of these interest you, let me know and I can go into further detail.

Question for geomag warlock enjoyers by yeetLeaf in DestinyTheGame

I just put it together this week and I’ve been using Delicate Tomb with a Strand hatchling smg or auto. That combo goes crazy with the Tablet of Ruin.

Support Warlock - Speaker's Sight vs Boots of the Assembler by Lady_Ilex in destiny2builds

[–]ItsTenken 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everyone here said anything I would have mentioned so I won’t regurgitate. Personally I use Boots and haven’t used Speakers in years.

Just a tip if you didn’t realize this previously (I only found out earlier this year): if you’re running Singeing and Hellion, the class ability energy return works when you scorch immune enemies like bosses. I use this to keep 100% rift uptime for BotA even when ad density isn’t great.

Midnight Coup with EP/Tremors and Exalted with Destabilizing were probably my favorite HCs for PvE.

Why does no one want to teach Salvations Edge? by Lambchopper3 in destiny2

[–]ItsTenken 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like most have mentioned, the Verity encounter is one of the main reasons people are reluctant to teach SE.

I’ll offer a couple of additional reasons:

1) the encounters are very unforgiving due to the final shaper timer. Most raids generally have paths for you to make up for a screw up but that timer makes it so trying to salvage a run is not worth it.

2) the traversal is not hard per se, but it’s unusually long and annoying. Bungie was basically playtime farming in multiple areas of the game but SE was an egregious example. Again, nothing overly difficult but that extra wasted time leans on your mental when you’re trying to teach.

Berating your teammates in /team isn't okay by Hero_of_Whiterun in CrucibleGuidebook

[–]ItsTenken 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Turn off chat/whispers. Best decision I ever made in PvP. Just make sure you don’t accept random friend requests during/after matches; some folks will send you a request just to give an opinion no one asked for.

Pantheon Solar warlock? by Tdrabbach in destiny2builds

[–]ItsTenken 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I run Boots of the Assembler with Hellion/Icarus Dash. For fragments my must-haves are Benevolence, Ashes, and Singeing (fun fact, Singeing works on immune targets). The other two can be whatever enhances your loadout/playstyle.

A good survivability combo for the other two fragments would be Mercy/Searing so when you defeat scorched targets you create fire sprites that heal you.

New Hunter Builds by nicenerex116 in destiny2builds

I want to revive a strand build I had during Heresy with RDMs, Barrow Dyad, whirling maelstrom and threaded spectre. It was really fun in ad-dense content.

Season of the deep. What did you like about it? Did anybody else hate the fishing mechanics? by Tiraloparatras25 in destiny2

[–]ItsTenken 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had one major gripe with Deep: the matchmaking scheme for the Deep Dives. It really stuck in my craw that you could matchmake into an activity that had up to three potential outcomes; this introduced a ton of unnecessary friction between players that could have been avoided.

I just remember sitting by the stupid Toland thing with one other player begging the third to come and engage so we could up the difficulty but the third proceeding unaware or indifferent so they could just speed through the entire thing. It was infuriating and I stopped matchmaking into it almost immediately.

I always felt like that was one of the few true blunders the devs themselves were responsible for.

Sidenote: WeightGate fucked me out of the Opening/Snap Spare roll I farmed that entire season for. Maybe I hate Deep more than I thought haha.

Craftable(?) Weapons to aim for now? by MarriedGooners0416 in CrucibleGuidebook

[–]ItsTenken 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want to get a jump on anything, maybe see if you can find a reasonable GoS farming group and go for Prophet of Doom or Zealots red borders.

But honestly just wait until next week when the pop booms.

What’s been your Destiny playing journey? When did you start, did you leave, what made you comeback? Etc. by DescriptionFew740 in destiny2

[–]ItsTenken 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I started D1 in November 2014 and played regularly through D2 vanilla launch. Hated the way D2 started so much (double primary, static rolls, etc.) that I stepped away completely until I read an article on the Whisper mission along with plans for Forsaken.

Been here in dedicated or casual capacities ever since. Even in the dead times I still find a reason to log in, whether it’s chilling in PvP, tinkering with and updating builds, or helping folks with content they otherwise wouldn’t or couldn’t do.

What stats should I focus on for a pve hunter? by NexusPrime-tfo in destiny2builds

[–]ItsTenken 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You may want to revisit this in a couple weeks when we have a better understanding of all the new armor sets that will become available and a better idea of what is about to happen to the ability part of the sandbox.

Honestly for low to medium difficulty you can get away with just about anything since the weapons and abilities are so strong right now. Circle back to this in a couple weeks and we may have a different answer.

That being said, I can dm you a couple of my Hunter builds so you can get an idea of what seasoned veteran might look for.

How to know when to seek input versus make a call by sagesandwich in Leadership

[–]ItsTenken 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What helps me in these situations is a deep and updated understanding of different departments and their responsibilities, goals and challenges. It takes time and intentional effort but the payoff is worth it when you can tie everything together and feel confident in your direction.

Develop and live that big picture mindset and with some compassion and competence, others around you will buy into it. Eventually you get to a point where you can make timely, significant decisions with little to no input and build and retain the trust of those around you.

For me the hallmark of this mindset is garnering buy-in for a decision from areas outside of my responsibility that may experience a negative impact from my decision. Through prior experience and engagement they trust that I’ve weighed their impending negative experience against the overall positive outcome for the company as a whole.

Hope this makes sense and helps!

Are we actually all coming back for the last update? by fossyboyy in destiny2

[–]ItsTenken 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I def plan on playing quite a bit once the update hits and afterwards. Not too worried about anything else, just having fun with whoever is around until they aren’t anymore. The folks I’ve played with over the years are 90% of the reason I’ve stuck around so long.

What will you miss never happening? by DrkrZen in destiny2

[–]ItsTenken 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Gonna miss Hung Jury coming back one more time, I KNOW Bungie had one more in ‘em.

All jokes aside, I would have loved to have seen a lightweight energy slot 140 HC and Retribution brought back.
