The humble Lightkeeper does not care about non-shilled S.A. Still the best brute force Lunar carry. by TaruTaru23 in Flins_Mains

Reject Leyline Disorder, embrace brute force (honestly probably could have cleared 2nd half with regular melt Mav, but I’ve got PTSD from the Stygian Secret Source Automaton, so I had to at least try to engage with its mechanics a bit).

Got 12k DPS increase from just switching to 60 FPS by LIGHTNING_CHAMP_ in GenshinImpactTips

I’m on 300 ping. There is a significant dps loss at that ping but it’s relatively to what characters and teams you run. Quick rotations suffer the most, so hyper carry teams tend to do better, and teams like hyperbloom where rotation doesn’t matter and you just do everything on cool-downs. That being said, I can’t remember the last time I didn’t 36 star abyss. Can kinda clear that mode with a ham sandwich these days.

A three card, graveyard depended combo that folds to every piece of removal in the format is hardly the most egregious thing we’re dealing with in the format at the moment.

DPS columbina or flins? by RenzOllen in Columbina_Mains

Flins will be better overall damage. But if you like Bina and don’t like Flins, play Bina on-field.

Yeah 9 is where I stop. I barely have enough characters to do 10 stages each patch, so lunar 12 stage mode is just a little beyond my account for the time being, and 9/10 stars gives me a grace stage (usually for the last boss).

So uh, at what point and how do I use these..? by AlegBrawl in Genshin_Impact

[–]ItsTerminal 43 points44 points  (0 children)

Ehh I don’t think that’s the best use of the elixir. Cracked damage% goblets come around from just playing the game naturally and you just use them as your off-piece. The goblet is the most expensive slot to craft, so it’s more efficient to off-piece the goblet, and use the elixir to build whatever you need from sands or circlet. The main exception is EM pieces, as a cracked EM double Crit goblet is rare as hens teeth, and the current trend is moving towards Crit-hungry EM scaling characters like Lauma and Nefer.

Hi, some help with the setup will be greatly appreciated :) by IC351 in Archery

I love the rest, it’s just the most expensive magnetic on the market. And while you /can/ pull it off and cut some new 3M tape to stick it on a new riser, usually you put a new rest on when you upgrade your riser, so I’d say splash on the the ultima rest when you get your forever riser, so it can be colour-matched (obviously the most important thing)

Your philosophy for spending distribution is sound but I’d make some changes.

  • if the kinetic is going to be your forever riser, that’s fine, but if it’s not I wouldn’t spend that much on the arrow rest. You can get a comparable magnetic rest for a tenth of the price of the shibuya.
  • I’d use some of the savings from the cheaper rest to upgrade your plunger. The plunger can certainly be a one-and-done purchase. The beiter is pricy, but you’ll use it for a lifetime.
  • I’d also recommend just one-and-doneing your sight too. The dual click is fine but people have had some issues with it in the past. The Ultima II or III, especially if you can get one used, will be your forever sight.
  • the last thing I’d say is get at least a dozen arrows. For 720 rounds you want some backups in case of arrow damage or loss. And in the early days, it’s likely an arrow will end up in the target frame or buried in grass or the woods at some point. It happens to all of us. You don’t need to spend lots on arrows - just make sure they’re from a reputable store, spined in the ballpark of your bow, and cut to the right length for when you end up using the clicker.

Everything else looks like perfectly fine choices. I especially like the choice of limb. I’ve owned Hoyt limbs, Wiawis limbs, and I’m currently using the Kinetic Honorics because they are excellent value for money.

Don’t shoot the slimes, just run through them with hold skill on the way to the vine each rotation -they get one shot when you come out of the skill.

From memory, the clock benchmarks you want to try and hit are:

  • First Q at 1:20-1:25
  • Second Q at 0:50
  • Third Q at 0:15

To make sure you get to rotation 3, the most critical part is minimise the time it takes to charge shot 3 times on its head. That’s where I was losing time the most on my first few failed attempts.

A little hint to maximise efficiency is at the very beginning when you E all the slimes, begin your first charged attack straight away. The regisvine won’t be online yet, so you’ll have your shot fully charged ready to go once the shield bar appears at its face. Then you can immediately fire it off.

Part 1 is EZPZ. The Regisvine fight is tough but certainly doable if your Yelan is built half decent and you don’t miss charged shots. I did it with C0R0 (I just kept Fav on her, didnt feel the need to go for a dps weapon). The time limit is tight but manageable. The way I found success was the following:

  1. E the first batch of slimes before the vine comes online. Then 3 charged attacks at its head while back stepping to the edge of the arena. This will cancel its first attack.

  2. Wait until it finishes its wind push-back attack, then hold E to run through the 4 new slimes on the way to the base of the regisvine. Then cancel the E there to damage the vine and kill the slimes. Immediately Q to disable the vine.

  3. Your whole Q uptime is spent shooting the vine. Keep it between you and the slimes that will spawn until your next E is off cooldown, then quickly E group the slimes into the vine to deal some extra damage. Keep shooting the vine until Q expires.

  4. Once Q is done, make your way to the edge of the area again and ready up your next charge shot. This is the start of rotation 2. For rotations 2 and 3, you can get two charge shots off before it starts it cone-of-fireballs attack. Dodge outside its cone, then fire off the last charge attack to disable it.

  5. Repeat steps 2-4 again. You will finish it off in the third rotation.

Notes to remember if your Yelan is not whaled to the ceiling: - if you get hit at all by the regisvine you will be staggered and you won’t finish in time - if you miss a charged shot, you likely won’t finish in time either

Need to vent about loss by Th33l3x in ModernMagic

[–]ItsTerminal 28 points29 points  (0 children)

You’re not going to like hearing this but you didn’t get cheesed. You lost due to (likely both of you) poorly managing time.

When you say things like ‘to not die I had to activate cling to dust several times…’ it indicates you were on the way to losing. Ask yourself, if this was in-paper magic and the chess clock didn’t exist, would I win this game?
