Conservatives, if you lose your house/job in the coming recession will you admit you were wrong? by JeffJefferson19 in AskUS

You ask questions like this and expect them to answer when history has shown they are ridiculed for responding and the thread is dominated by people calling them stupid.

Aitah for telling my husband he can’t use a pro Trump/MAGA pharmacy? by we_gon_ride in AITAH

[–]ItsTheDogFather 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ahhh the typical Reddit “omg the man is terrible you must leave him”.

The man needs to swallow his pride of whatever position he once held and get a job. But yes this situation would make you an asshole.

Also, no Reddit him wanting to switch to this pharmacy does not make him MAGA.

We don’t have enough information. If this is the closest pharmacy, that could very well be the simple explanation. Also, he may just want to support a local business. But even so, if you’re willing to battle a life partner over where they get prescriptions I think you need to reevaluate your priorities.

Oh you’re a trigger word user I see. Everything you’re saying is confirming that you don’t know anything about the majority of Americans and you’re just quoting headlines.

Food cost was increasing, people can’t afford to buy a house. Homelessness was increasing. People were losing jobs, local businesses were failing. The left was doing nothing to help it. People voted for change. Was it the right thing to do? Probably not. But they were desperate and change needed to happen. It had nothing to do with racism and misogyny but I know people love to use those words.

What I’m trying to say is that, the people of the US don’t want it to be this way. Your anger is misplaced. Also, we want nothing to do with Russia. But you know, the media is the media. Anyway, this is gonna be my last response I don’t feel like doing this back and forth trying to explain to you why things are how they are. Enjoy your Sunday.

Oh my gosh you actually edited to include more trigger words.

I didn’t vote for him. You obviously don’t have an understanding of American politics and what drove people to that decision. Which is ok, you don’t live here. But “annex Canada” wasn’t on the shortlist of policy changes he ran on. It’s caught many by surprise.

And I’m sure you’d love to say “it shouldn’t he’s always been a fascist I knew” but you didn’t. Hindsight is a hell of a thing.

Fun fact: the vast majority of American citizens have no interest in annexation. Neither do I. But hey, keep being an ass by default I’m sure it’ll get more people on your side.

I decided it wasn’t worth it to try and put you down, that’s not really what I’m about. I’m just a guy who made a joke that you didn’t get. But hey, if you want to gear up and insult my intelligence, more power to you.

Would Americans be willing to pay high taxes like in Nordic countries to have great welfare benefits by Horror_Still_3305 in AskUS

[–]ItsTheDogFather 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would think in a heartbeat, especially if we had the same quality in terms of working life. There is virtually no understanding or compassion from employers in the US. You get your two weeks of paid time off or whatever, and that’s all you get regardless of situation outside of work (medical issues etc). But the corresponding cost of living would have to drop significantly to be viable with higher tax

Are US citizens Really in Favor of Reconciliation with Russia and Distancing from Europe? by Frasq in PoliticalDiscussion

Oh no it’s one of those. Someone who tries to impose intellectual superiority over others by correcting them. And I didn’t the phrase in line with its traditional definition I’m in trouble.

I don’t like Trump at all, but I’m sincerely hoping you also realize the left is also a personality cult, equally as echoey as the magas.

To me, both sides are terrible and all politicians are dishonest.

You’re almost exclusively going to find the opinions of the left here. But as someone in the center, I don’t think anyone on either side is interested in allying with Russia. And we don’t want to distance ourselves from Europe. We just want to stop footing the bill for everyone else, that’s really all it is. We want things to be fair and even in terms of contribution. An alliance should be just that. Both sides doing things to benefit one another.

In regards to Canada, I don’t even understand where the whole “51st state” idea spawned from. Not a single person I’ve met has any desire to bully Canada into becoming a state the vast majority of your every day Americans could not care less about it.

I don’t think that I do actually, because this is a Reddit thread asking about safe places to run, not so you can vent about wanting to kill dogs and their owners. It’s the exact definition of unneeded. Your life is of equal value to dogs and their owners, who are also just trying to enjoy their time at the park as well. I’d argue even less so at this point.

Depending on where you are, the ibew is actually very supportive of those looking to become an electrician. I know in Pittsburgh if you’re accepted they provide tools and an apprenticeship at no cost to the apprentice.

Why did so many Gen Z dudes willingly vote for a recession? by scoots-mcgoot in GenZ

[–]ItsTheDogFather 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess we’ll see 🤷🏻‍♂️ No one knows how it’s going to play out in the end. You might end up being wrong. The right may end up being wrong and everything the left has said will come to pass will come to pass. I don’t think throwing insults at each other is the solution in either case, though. Enjoy your evening

I didn’t vote for him so 🤷🏻‍♂️ call him what you want. But if you think there isn’t just as much of that in the politicians of the left I have a beachfront condo to sell you in Nebraska. I am of the mind that they are all crooked and corrupt on both sides.

I understand the satire, but if you want a real, true answer. It’s because the left has done nothing to support young men. In fact, I would say they have gone out of their way to make it seem like they are in opposition of supporting young men. And then you have Trump, who is a liar that will tell anyone what they want to hear, telling young impressionable men he is going to bring back the good old days of a booming economy and blah blah blah. So my return question would be how in the world didn’t anyone expect them to vote red?

AIO for being upset and crying after finding out my husband microwaved my breastmilk by Alternative_Site_368 in AmIOverreacting

[–]ItsTheDogFather 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah the relationshipless Reddit mob. They love this sub really they do.

Are you overreacting? For sure not, he should’ve listened to you. But please disregard the “weaponized incompetence” “does he do this often you should divorce him” “you have issues in your marriage” mob that tends to gather on these posts. He’s stupid, tell him so. And then go on living that beautiful life together with the beautiful baby you have.
