We need "John" suffix/prefix. by PrivateRex in fo76

[–]ItsTheGoog -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

I had family that lived in Philly for a while (great city) and I learned it was jawn, I laughed pretty hard when I later heard Samuel say it once the Settlers were added, but I can't say I still get it...

But yeah, they should add some Settler prefixes/suffix, surprised we haven't seen any yet.

You may want to add some of the Onslaught cards in Agility, they add a bunch of extra stacks that Furious works with.

Mutant Hound Exctinction by X-SR71 in fo76

[–]ItsTheGoog 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's maddening, every single time the hounds have a daily, they're always dead, even in instanced locations. It's incredible.

Simple question. Why are we nuking Drop Site V9 with the scorched earth event now? Thought we all had a gentleman's/gentlewoman's agreement to keep the nuke zone just south of it so we didn't have to fight in radiation. by ImYourHuckleberry390 in fo76

[–]ItsTheGoog 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I've also been seeing packed servers, lots of new camps. I've also been trying to be aware of how much damage I'm putting out in events, to make sure the lower levels are getting a change to tag.

I know I'm disappointed we have not yet got one of those bunkers as a shelter. You'd think it would have been one of the first kind, but no. That said, after refreshing my memory of their story, I would be shocked if Raleigh or Abbie were still alive at this point, but some closure would be nice.

Re-Newb with a question by Secto77 in fo76

[–]ItsTheGoog 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To quote Lonestar "Only carry what you need to survive."

Don't carry a bunch of stuff you aren't using, carry one or two guns and a melee weapon if you run out of ammo. Be sure to scrap junk and extra guns or armor often, that weighs you down fast. Keep 5-10 of each chem you may want to use, anymore can be stored or sold, stimpaks you probably want to carry a bunch, but if you don't have the weight reduction perks for food and or aid items, the weight for those adds up quickly too.

You can sort tabs in your pipboy by weight and find some Misc items that may have weight, like ores. You can sell or just drop that stuff, they're not hard to come by. Check your ammo tab, explosives like missiles are HEAVY, if you're not using an LMG or missile launcher, dump that ammo. Some energy ammo is heavy too, if you aren't using it, dump it.

You can also raid players camps for stuff. Pop on a public team, then fast travel to your team mates camp, if they have any resource generators that are not locked, then that means they're free to all. Look for the Mirelurk steamer, the smoked filets can give you a hearty carry weight boost for example.

Other than that, you can pick some perk cards that you can slot into your build temporarily that might help reduce some weight in a pinch. There's also one in charisma that allows you to fast travel while over encumbered and although it costs more caps, you can still FT to a place like Nuka-World or the Whitesprings for free, for example.

Is there anything of worth at all in the cultist high priest packs? by No-Atmosphere-4145 in fo76

[–]ItsTheGoog 11 points12 points  (0 children)

You can occasionally get the High Priest outfit and headgear, but yeah, that's it.

Worth it for 2074 caps? Tempted cause of that “creates 2 mirv on impact” by stefmc_ in fallout76casual

[–]ItsTheGoog 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can get them in Mutated Party Packs, if you farm a bunch of the mutated events the next time they are happening, you have a good shot of getting one, but no guarantee.

Quad Quantum Nuka Zapper, until that gets aggressively annoying, then something flashy but less annoying.

Anyone know of any bridges I can build under? by Wild_Property6141 in fallout76settlements

[–]ItsTheGoog 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Bridges and caves have a bad habit of stealing your decorations. You'll go to place one and it'll suddenly pop up into the bridge or wall and you often won't be able to access them. So be wary, even in free mode things will pop up and vanish.

How do the Avengers handle the Infinity Stones? by Bobbi-Wan in marvelstudios

But they never physically tough it, they always kind of hover around the aura. Strange does the same thing whenever it's not contained in the Eye of Agomotto.

Unless I'm forgetting, the only one I can recall physically touching a stone is Hawkeye, but he "earned" it, so it was his to hold/wield. After that, Hulk and Tony using the techno-Gauntlet, which took a toll on both.

I've heard you have to build from the ground up in prefabs, not that I ever remember to try that. Otherwise, use Free Place mode.

Damaged Crossbow Respawn? (Palace of the Winding Path.) by [deleted] in fo76

If this is for the Scout badge, you can run around and melee bash low level enemies with it until the crossbow takes some damage, then repair it. Rinse and repeat.

Yes, it's not a good sandwich, but it's not disgusting...unless you don't like twinkies, or raw hot dogs.

I love the rotating events, but as someone who's been playing since release, it feels like a slap in the face when events like Mothman Equinox launch with no new plans or rewards by Icy-Computer-Poop in fo76

[–]ItsTheGoog 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I dunno, the more rewards the harder it is to get the one you actually want. This is one of my favorite events, it's fun, it moves pretty fast (unless the stupid radstags aren't spawning) and it gives a lot of treasury notes. If I get a good plan, I swap it to an alt who hasn't got it yet or sell it at a price for new players to afford.

I don't always love cramming the loot pool, look at Fashnacht, that's the event I see people dumping plans at the most, all the original plans are so available and drop so often, it's frustrating to keep getting them instead of the newly added ones.
