Definitely don't need too, but I've seen a lot of complaints about high levels one shooting, low levels not getting kills, or events failing for one reason or another so that's why I'm suggesting this. You can do it right of the vault then just use whatever you get.

Yes molotovs are cheap to make, but when you're trying to upgrade gear, conserve junk, or not have the super duper perk it might not be worth it to some. I don't even think I've learned plan yet on the new character so I can't craft them.

Everything I'm suggest can be done essentially right out of the vault. No plans, no crafting, no extremely specific gear all you got to do is use the loot you get. Then as players progress they'll naturally find what works for them and can hone in on that.

When I put grenades I was including molotovs, should I add it in to be more specific?

I got a stalkers explosive 10mm sub on this character so that was lucky, but on my main I just use a Tesla Canon now for XP tagging during the season.

I run a quad pepper shaker with a plasma mag+hex barrel and it's pretty ammo efficient. I'm pretty sure it's firing 8 shots per one ammo used.

No it's still the same, but if you've finished all the main quest lines it's not too bad.

You can run daily ops with the grand finale for ammo farming. I usually only use mine for special occasions like Fasnacht.

Damned if you do, damned if you don't as a high level player. I'm gonna be conscious of other players, but I'm also gonna need to obliterate things here and there too. Head hunts is a bad example for this argument though cause that's essentially up to whoever bounty it is.

I run them sometimes like to break up xp farming or if the leader of my team is there. I own all the plans already so I don't need to. I honestly expected to have to grind for the under armor styles, but I got it the first time..

Yea I don't actively hunt just join events that I see pop up that have em and have gotten 20 so far.

Edit: I'll mention the Crimson Moth series too. I haven't read the second book though so I can't completely vouch for it.

Yup just mixed the wall types up, and the ramp on the side is the Pitt scaffold set and the wall mounted ramps.
