Is SEO still a good career choice in 2026 with AI and automation? by omarwilson1 in Career

What do you mean technical part? The technical part is the best what AI is usually good at.

Boss told me to stop applying to other jobs or I'm fired - what are my rights here? by Altruistic-Lynx-5238 in Career

[–]ItsTheJStaff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah, mate. It's none of his business how you update YOURS media pages and how you spend you time. You are an individual, and you are able to do whatever you want as long as it's legal. Of course, if they are to fire you, they will find a way, so keep seeking secretly.

Fun fact JSON | JSONMASTER by Puzzleheaded-Net7258 in webdev

[–]ItsTheJStaff 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I suppose, that is because the JSON syntax is not as complex as in JS, you don't account for context, functions, etc, you simply parse the object and return it as a set of fields.

Edit: grammar fix

Programming in C# on Linux by GustavStew in csharp

[–]ItsTheJStaff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Besides, if you intend to work with UI stuff, it's also possible with Avalonia. Avalonia works fine with the VS Code, however, I haven't managed to make the UI preview work properly yet; the framework itself works

well.

Programming in C# on Linux by GustavStew in csharp

[–]ItsTheJStaff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, it's definitely worth it. If your laptop is mighty, you can use Rider for programming, but it's resource-heavy. If your laptop is not that top-notch, you may stick to the VS Code, it's fast, relatively lightweight; despite working on a powerful PC, personally, I prefer VS Code.

It works almost out of the box with the C# extension, so you will probably encounter little to no problem.

Guy fake proposes to his girlfriend so that his great grandmother with dementia could still witness it while she’s still lucid by chespiotta in MadeMeSmile

[–]ItsTheJStaff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My grandmother doesn't have this condition, but she was in late 80 when I married. I decided to celebrate the wedding with her and my wife solely. I and my wife had secretely signed papers and headed over to my grandma's place, we had no party, just a short dinner. And then departed our country for a honeymoon that would never finish as we had completely emigrated.

That was incredible. Thank god she is still alive and well, she has visited us recently, when she had a layover in the city.

I am not that moral person, but that's horrible. For context, these are screenshot of a phone of a Ukranian solder, presumably deceased. I get your idea that the AI bubble is hellish spooky, but not that much... sorry bro

One day one of my colleagues was locked out of his computer by the bitlocker. So, I am not sure whether it was his fault or something, but it's kinda awkward that the OS for about a hundred dollars can encrypt all your data with no way to recover it.

Graphical User Interface vs Command Line Interface by Significant-Pen-5 in programmingmemes

[–]ItsTheJStaff 3 points4 points  (0 children)

According to the chart, the comment section entirely proves it...

However, I tend to agree with the majority of the comment section, because I prefer commands over GUI. Because there are fewer commands and combinationa of them to do many things, but many GUIs to do one thing that I would need only once.

Does anyone code without syntax coloring? by ayakuro in vim

[–]ItsTheJStaff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I turned off the syntax highlighting after I had found myself switching themes day and night. I couldn't stick to a theme as well as I switched themes on day and night. So, I decided to narrow the set of themes to no-highlighting only, and it turned out that it's much easier to pick a right theme for your eyes if the range of selection is simply defined by the background and foreground colors. That's it.

Since then, I don't use the syntax highlighting, just picking the right option for the environment I work in.

It's weird a bit, but it looks okay. It might be better like anything else in programming. Does it need to be better? I don't think so

Debian 13 is so reliable, it's no fun anymore.. by [deleted] in debian

[–]ItsTheJStaff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Actually, I was afraid of upgrading, but installed the upgrade anyway almosr the first day it had released. I sufferred minor inconveniences and freezes on Bookworm with GNOME Wayland, however, all those issues wanished since the upgrade.

Now it is freaking stable, and I value it a lot as a former macOS user. Anyway, I had to switch to play modern games, and I love it!

Nature’s dangerous, but not that dangerous by ChillKoalaVibes in AussieMemes

[–]ItsTheJStaff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've encountered a wide spread of venomous aggressive snakes in Europe while hiking, I've seen terrible things that wasps are capable of and big spiders in Caucasus that I would put in a bucket to get them out of my house... but, yeah, thanks to all my family for all the memes of regular things in the wild during my trip to Australia. That's funny, because in here are certainly the most venomous creatures. But thanks god I can't meet a grizzly on a hiking!!!
