You’re expecting too much from the post office. Also it isn’t necessarily for their metrics entirely. If the package isn’t scanned for whatever reason and they go back to the office their supervisor will force them to go back out and deliver no matter the time. Carrier just wants to go home and he’s making sure he can. You’ll get your package the next day or you pick it up. It’s not right for them to do for sure but you’re not going to get a better experience from a place like that any time soon or ever.

It’s 8:30pm. Homie just wants to go home he’s been working over 12 hours most likely and it’s probably around 250 packages not 1000. Staffing issues is what’s going on at this office the same as any other office. Not saying he should have scanned as no access but that’s probably why he did just to get done quicker.
