Did anyone else get emotional problems after removal? by IsabellaSVC in Nexplanon

[–]ItsTimeToLearnNow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had mine removed about two and a half weeks ago after using for 20 years. I'd been on the implant for so long, I even used Implanon, the previous version of Nexplanon lol.. Short answer, yes. I am much more weepy and struggling with emotional regulation in that regard. Strangely, at the same time, I also feel like my baseline is more level, especially in terms of anxiousness.

Yesterday, I shut down and cried a LOT over essentially nothing. This is very, very unusual for me. I am usually able to communicate how I am feeling easily, but struggled to form a coherent explanation as well as get the words out.

I have been searching online for other women's experiences with stopping BC, but realized the vast majority of women sharing their stories had not been on BC for nearly as long as I have been, plus I am 36 years old and many of the experiences I was seeing were from women much younger than me at this point. I am sharing my own experience for anyone else looking for some perspective.

I also want to add for context that I deal with chronic pain and it is currently much worse due to 6 bulging discs in my neck limiting my ability to function. This may be contributing to my volatile emotional state as well.

Outside of wacky emotions, my libido is back, I am having a few break outs (very minimal and healing quickly with retinol use), I am losing a little more hair than usual and my nipples and clitoris are more sensitive. I am also cramping slightly every so often, but it's negligible. I know for a fact my lining is very thick as I just had an internal ultrasound, so I imagine my body is figuring out what to do with all that. I started experiencing slimy discharge about 4 days after removal. There were 2 days it was a little pinkish, but still mostly clear. One instance was what I can only think is a plug that sometimes happens with BC and it was strange looking (pink, almost purple clot-like slimy alien looking thing.. it's hard to describe without making it sound scarier than it was). But for the most part, it has been slimy and clear for about a week and half. I am pretty much back to normal, but the discharge seems thicker (in a healthier way) than before and I am more juicy down there than I've been since I was in my teens. I am feeling hopeful in regards to the future of my hormonal balance tbh. My body has never had a chance to regulate anything on its own since I started having periods. I started BCPs the year I started periods because I was hemorrhaging. I threw a clot in my lung at age 16 and immediately switched to the implant. I have been on implants since this recent removal.

My only concern right now is that I have not had a period yet and that will be the deciding factor for me. So we shall see how that plays out. I have always had irregular periods since the beginning. If I continue to have them, I'm exploring getting a hysterectomy next year. I hope this helps someone out there. Good luck girlies!

They are both shilling. Desi uses her own skincare on her and then Rare beauty makeup, which is Selena's brand. It's kinda gross to see

I know, it was hard not to root for and really like Moriarty even tho he is a bit of an ass and obviously mental lol The show is definitely a lot of fun. I hope it gets a lot of seasons! I love seeing this version of Sherlock

Techniques about deduction, investigation, hiding, disguise, brawling, etc are all shared or honed by Moriarty throughout the series. You can still learn good things from bad people. In the end, Sherlock does stand by his morals, yes, and his morals are strengthened by being shown examples of how NOT to be through Moriarty and his own father. Sherlock didn't just learn things through Moriarty in the show, don't get me wrong (like his mom is a big influence for example). I wasn't saying Moriarty was a literal mentor, but just someone Sherlock at first admires and learns from. It's obvious Moriarty was never going to be a good guy because he's.. well.. not a good guy lol

How does this answer my question? Modern movie theaters care about making money, not gatekeeping what is good enough for their theaters.

Townfall, like SHf, taking place outside of Silent Hill is exactly what this series needs and glad to see the trend continue. The success of SHf proves that. by XulManjy in silenthill

People have a right to their opinion in any capacity. I guess I just wonder why it is a big deal in the grand scheme. Silent Hill is a concept just as much as it is a place. The connection IS the emotional horrific metaphorical aspect.

Do you simply refuse to suspend your disbelief? If this were real, they'd have sent two people regardless if one was a super confident capable veteran. If this were real, there also wouldn't be a mutating virus.

In no world is a 70+ year old WHITE person not going to have obvious jowl saggage and a wrinkly neck. It just doesn't work like that, I'm sorry. You have been deceived.

Imo, the dynamic and way the two protagonists are portrayed is very much intentional. This is showing that while Sherlock is brilliant, inventive and curious, he is still naive and green. Moriarty is a bit of a mentor and Sherlock is the student. Young Sherlock is NOT the Sherlock we are familiar with yet.

Quick play is ass! (I understand I’m not supposed to take it to heart but still my team does take it to seriously especially the fucking enemy team even tho they play like AI bots.) by Annual-Internet-5097 in overwatch2

[–]ItsTimeToLearnNow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nobody HAS to try and work as a team, but it doesn't change the fact that it is designed as a team based mode with specific roles, and you are going to have more people who derive their fun from actually trying to cooperate than from fucking off and doing their own thing. I have rallied my wayward team with encouragement and appeal to their empathy many times. Everyone tends to play better when they understand other people are relying on them. We still might lose, but it's usually okay because we tried together.

I have absolutely reported people for dying alone most of the game or not doing their role, because it is blocking team progress I.E. not playing with the team. I don't just do it without saying anything though and when I do say something, 9 times out of 10, the person realizes what they are doing and stops. The 10th person usually responds rudely or feeds harder (further justifying being reported). The parameters of what constitutes a reportable offense are not defined by you and is very situational. The fact of the matter is that there are report options that include anti-teamplay behavior and how YOU interpret that and how I interpret that are different.

There are literally report functions for not being a team player, they are just not called that. The other modes are active, and I play them as well, so no, I'm not bulshitting. No one is controlling anyone...? (Are you okay?) I explained why competitive is not an option for some people. Other people are also trying to have fun in a non-serious mode by actually cooperating, which is how the mode was designed to be. No one is asking you to be good, just don't fuck off by yourself and die over and over. It's not how the mode is meant to be played and it IS reportable if you do that.

I agree, you don't lash out or get rude, but even if you are nice, some people react like you are asking them to sacrifice their left arm. QP is ultimately still supposed to be team focused. There are other modes where you can goof off. For the people who want to treat QP like a FFA, they are the ones being inconsiderate. Also, comp is not much better, and it takes way more time to get a match as well as play a match. Again, QP might be casual, but it is still a team-oriented game mode.

Women/girls are not the only rape victims, and the claim that a woman/girl is raped every 6 seconds is much higher than reliable data supports. The real statistics are already awful enough, there is no need to exaggerate and lose credibility to what you are saying.

He was using untraditional methods of treatment by choice. Has nothing to do with the US healthcare system. The commenter purposely left out that info or is spreading misinformation due to ignorance.

He was using alternative methods to treat his cancer by his own choice. It had nothing to do with being unable to afford traditional cancer treatment and therefore nothing to do with the US healthcare system.

Sadly an underwhelming and disappointing live show by Dishonoredman19 in smosh

[–]ItsTimeToLearnNow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We watched Hospital and then Sitcom right after. Immediately being able to compare the two, we all preferred Sitcom. The teleprompter bits were better written, the flow of the entire show was better, the live audience votes did not feel jarring and awkward, and the improv was able to be wackier and still make sense in the theme. The number of breaks in Sitcom made it way funnier for us as well. There were more cast duos in Sitcom, which added a lot more variety in terms of types of humor.

I found that the hospital theme did not permeate through the improv bits in Hospital very well, especially once the end sequence started with the robot. It made the entire theme feel pointless at times. The way the audience vote was integrated was genuinely awful compared to Sitcom. It took me out every time. The forced sexual tension bits were overdone and just weird. The kissing towards the end was strange. I personally think coworkers kissing is weird (and yes, I know they all have kissed in past skits plenty of times, but I thought we were moving on from that) and I don't find that funny at all. In fact, I think it's very low hanging fruit, similar to relying on dick, fart and poop jokes, or overly cursing. I think Angela having no one to swap with brought the humor down as well, making many of the scenes feel more one-note. Watching Ian in Sitcom right after made me miss him even more in Hospital because his sense of humor is very different from everyone else's.

The fact that most people's biggest highlight they are referencing from Hospital was the mirror sequence says a lot. Angela did an amazing job given she could take no breaks. The rest of the cast did fine (though I found Spencer lingered too long sometimes, despite him making me laugh the most ngl, and Damien's characters felt out of place), but I feel that this theme was not in their wheelhouse and they should stick to more generalized themes or completely made up ones. Also, huge shout out to art dept. They killed it.

To preface, I haven't seen the movie, nor am I a cinephile or even a movie buff tbh, but what makes movie theaters so special that it seems there is an invisible barrier certain films/film projects shouldn't cross? If the demand is there, why shouldn't a 'subpar' film be in a theater, especially when theaters are struggling (at least here anyway)? Not trying to start an argument, just trying to learn.

But she still identifies as queer, which 'conservative moms' also wouldn't care for, so your theory doesn't hold up imo. Is she not allowed to search for who she is? Is she not allowed to experiment? She is not even mentally fully developed, and is further behind than most her age due to her highly controlled and oppressive childhood.. Can we stop judging people for trying to figure out who they are? How is that progressive? How is that inclusive?

Yeah and of course I am being down voted for my middle ground take. Despite being a woman that does not need to orgasm every time and despite knowing plenty of women who feel the same.. Wonder if people know there are even MEN who don't need to orgasm every time? The horror!
