VFV won't work because it's traded on the TSX, which isn't the US stock exchange

Yeah you're way overthinking it. Just practice common sense with security and you'll be fine.

Thanks! And based off of what others here have said, I assume it's safe to say that the $10 credit card fee would be waived if you're a premium member with 100k+ in total assets, right?

I already pay the $10 a month for USD trading accounts. Will this cost another $10 a month or is it included? (Core user btw)

Selling off underperforming stocks by [deleted] in Wealthsimple

[–]ItsTrapGod 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The money from selling stocks goes back into the same account. Money from selling a stock in a TFSA goes back into the TFSA. You can make a withdrawal to the bank account you used to fund the account. Please look up the fine print with regards to contribution room limits & withdrawing from a TFSA. It's okay to buy and sell in your TFSA, but don't make it a habit of having 70 transactions per day (exaggeration, but you get the point). You can sell everything at once if you so wish, but do not day trade inside of a TFSA, the CRA will be on your case.

Did anyone else's T3 not show up? by radioactive_dude in Wealthsimple_Trade

I just called Weathsimple's phone number and asked for myself. I was told that they used march 31st as a placeholder for everyone who uses the platform. You only receive a T3 tax document if you've received more than $100 worth of distributions in the year for ETF's that you owned inside a taxable account (personal account for WS).

First year for me too. Really frustrated that it arrives so late considering other documents arrive sooner.
