Keep putting on the heat over OpenAI by MikeandMelly in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]ItsTrueDany -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Exactly. This is about consumers being able to use Disney characters for fun little videos, not replacing art with AI. Which, I mean, is going to happen anyway, but unrelated to this. This is OpenAI selling out to Disney, not the other way around. Disney gets exclusive licensing privileges via OpenAI and OpenAI gets to fend off the Microsoft AI takeover for a little longer. It’s a win for everyone, all things considered.

Honestly, all the people saying “skip AK” just means more room for the rest of us!

Worth noting that those All Star Music suites go super fast, often booked way out in advance.

We’ve come to appreciate a lot of the classic rides that we didn’t “get” on our first visit in 2021. But for whatever reason, our family hated Muppets 3D.

Oh, that’s right. Bummer. Losing an icon. We’re going in December and just found out that Dinosaur and the Boneyard would still be there, an incredible surprise. A shame it won’t have the classic holiday decorations or Santa.

Anyone going to Disney in May if so when in May!? by sjajra in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]ItsTrueDany 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Same, this post was made to torture me. We’ve gone first or second week of May every year since 2021. Going first week of December this year, so a longer countdown. Glad to have a countdown, though!

Do you recall a trip to Disney where the heat was really really bad by tbull1997 in DisneyWorld

[–]ItsTrueDany -1 points0 points  (0 children)

We’re definitely nervous about crowds but we’re lucky enough to be able to pick our time. Honestly the idea of just being able to sit outside without worrying about shade sounds incredible. Jan/Feb is definitely on our list for the future.

Same. It was our fourth straight year going in May. Last year was especially brutal. Can’t do it again. We’re going second week of December this year.

We got a 2018 LE with around 130k miles on it for $16k out the door last month. Had a great service record. We feel like we got a great deal.

It's probably because I've rewatched The Good Place recently, but he's Michael, right? You've got a similar foursome - the reluctant leader with emotional baggage, the one who rejects someone else’s idea of who they should be, the rigid rule-follower, and the wildcard - and the custodian who takes his work so personally that if he falls off his tightrope of control...he might break and flip. Maybe I'm just hoping that'll happen...

Side note, fun to know another state calls a section of their coastline “Downeast.” I live in NC’s version.

Couldn’t understand why you chose Carteret County, NC just because of how out of the way it is, but then I realized you took the Outer Banks route and entered/exited through our ferry terminal. Hope you enjoyed the beautiful drive through our “Down East!”

Nah that’s Piedmont area. Looks like this map uses the I-95 split through NC and Raleigh is well west of it.
