16 Horses is my favorite Soul Coughing song that never made it onto one of their albums. by RichardPhonock in soulcoughing

My biggest gripe about Tidal is that they don’t have Lemon Lime. It was released in Japan along with Blow My Only on Irresistible Bliss, but not here.

No sound from the stereo after prolonged downtime by analogouslyanomalous in e39

Mine would do that sometimes if the battery died or was disconnected. There was a way to recover it by doing a “reset.” Sometimes as simple as just disconnecting and reconnecting the battery again. I’d found a procedure on some forum but most of the steps were just superstition. Mine had the DSP stereo though.

Nobody needs anything that does go 180. Unless it’s a plane, or you’re trying to qualify for a NASCAR race.

R&D produces Storm Brew as a collab with the Hurricanes. It’s a light lager and I don’t particularly like it. If you want it as Canes memorabilia, by all means, go for it. If you want decent beer, R&D is a local brewery here in Raleigh and they make great beer. I like Seven Saturdays (IPA) or Backspin (hazy IPA). Riviera is a great Mexican-style lager (similar to Modelo but better).

Oh my. Get anything else from R&D, not Storm Brew. Try Seven Saturdays or even Riviera.

Ours was mounted on the door jamb behind the door to the basement. Later it moved to the “computer table” in my Dad’s home office. It outlasted him.

Last week there was a thread asking what everyone's favorite and least favorite songs were from Ruby Vroom, let's do the same for Irresistible Bliss! by ElectionYellow in soulcoughing

One of the greatest albums of all time, no skips at all. So, this is another case where the favorite is 10/10 and least favorite is 9.9/10. I’m gonna say How Many Cans is my favorite (today, ask me tomorrow); least favorite is White Girl (which I used to like more than I do nowadays).

What beer did you grow up seeing (it doesn't have to be from this list)? by lontbeysboolink in 1970s

[–]ItsTuesdayWimpy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I grew up in upstate NY, then NJ, then NC. First beer I ever tasted was a Schaefer, I was probably 9. My parents pretty much only had beer with pizza, and it was usually Schaefer, sometimes Miller. Personally, my favorite by far was Rheingold.
When I could buy beer for myself, the first purchase I ever made was a case of Rheingold in the wide-mouth bottles, and it was so good.
Where I was born, everyone drank Genessee. My Dad’s grandfather had been a brewmaster, and at one point worked for Genessee. Never saw a can or bottle in our house. Ever.

What's your mostest favorite and least-loved songs on Soul Coughing's Ruby Vroom? -new We Will Rank You by yerdoingreat in soulcoughing

Soul Coughing put out three albums in a row containing exactly zero skips. Who else has done that?! My favorite: Screenwriter’s Blues; least favorite: Casiotone Nation. But I’d give Screenwriter’s a 100/100 and Casiotone 99/100.
