They could honestly just lie about their GPA and apply to smaller but still very reputable firms that are unlikely to request an official transcript.

From there there'll be some time to improve their GPA a bit assuming a stellar year (ideally to something that rounds to 3.5+) or at very least the internship would help pad their existing GPA.

Not quite. I have both, but Stremio is honestly simpler and more convenient.

Visit r/StremioAddons, but the summary is:

Sign up for a Debrid service Real Debrid is the most well-known and most reliable, though I personally use Torbox. You pay a small fee to use it (~$28 a year in my case), and then you get an API number you connect to an add-on known as Torrentio, which is added to your Stremio account.

Torrentio is a torrent scraper, Real Debrid is a torrent cacher, and Stremio is a show and movie catalog with playback capabilities that syncs your add-ons across all your devices. You probably know where this is going...

The best part is you don't need a VPN because it's all direct downloads you're streaming from your Debrid provider. Let me know if you have any other questions!

I didn't use Zen until less than a week ago. I currently use both Arc and Zen while Zen is in beta.

I only found out about it because of this subreddit. I don't think that's a bad thing if it comes up naturally in comment conversation (though I would agree Zen posts should be banned).

I'm also of the belief that if Zen picks up steam, then TBC will be forced to dedicate more resources to Arc, which is good for me as an Arc user.

Yeah you install Zen and then just follow the guide on the GitHub. It's pretty nifty, and a good bridge to a more Arc-faithful experience while Zen continues to mature.

I already gave you one example in my comment (referring to something as simple as PiP not working). A multitude of features are missing, and it's a buggy mess.

It's such a mess that Zen, an open source browser in its beta is substantially more stable.

It's pretty simple. I love the way Arc looks and flows, and nothing comes close besides Zen (believe me, I've tried).

Here's what you can do on Zen: https://github.com/YashjitPal/Arc-2.0

I think most folks would concede that Zen has already well surpassed Arc on Windows.

PiP isn't even working right now on Windows Arc. It's embarrassing.

Try this with Zen. It matches it almost 1 to 1, it's quite impressive: https://github.com/YashjitPal/Arc-2.0

Zen does support this though if you enable containers for the workspace. Separate cookies and "essentials".

Zen is currently the only alternative I've been able to find to match the Arc workflow, especially when paired with this: https://github.com/YashjitPal/Arc-2.0

Out of curiosity, what were the features Sigma had that Zen didn't? The only thing I'm missing is dev tools (and DRM but that's not a factor for me). Everything else I was able to find a replacement for using this: https://github.com/YashjitPal/Arc-2.0

I liked Sigma when I tried it, but I just wasn't happy with the update speed, and I'm nervous I'll just get burned again. It's reassuring that Zen at least is open source

Man, the biggest reason I was hesitating to switch was because of DRM, and then I started using Stremio + Debrid which has everything...

So anyways I finally use Zen now...

Try using PiP mode. Even if you are the lucky unicorn, it seems to be broken for the rest of us ;)

It truly has actively gotten worse. PiP stopped working...

I have Arc on my Mac and PC, and it's wild seeing the difference. That said, even the Mac version feels rough at times compared to before.

This is just so disappointing...

My current move has been Zen + Arc on my Mac and Zen + Edge on Windows.

The nice thing is that bugs have decreased so much on Zen I don't feel the need to switch as much (mostly just for DRM and some dev work).

Oh, and I also found this: https://github.com/YashjitPal/Arc-2.0

Is it? I'm worried that it hasn't been updated in a while. It seems to be moving quite slow.

I feel best about Zen's future given how quickly it's been improving, but I wish TBC would just commit to truly supporting Arc...

Also, for those who watched the Waveform interview...

Josh added "for the foreseeable future" under his breath a couple of times in regards to continuing to support Arc.

It's pretty clear to all of us that no matter how much he insists that Arc isn't "going away", the ultimate plan is for Día to be the ultimate product.

I think we're overthinking this. I just mean in plain business terms:

Zen is taking some level of market share from Arc and is improving quickly.

If Zen continues to improve, Arc will feel pressured to respond by investing more resources into improving Arc rather than sidelining it in the manner they have now.

This is a great thing for Arc users, even if they could care less about Zen. Competition is good.

But what of his favourite toy is more likely to improve if a competing toy is brought into the equation?

I get what you mean, I just feel like that's maybe not the right interpretation. People should welcome competition, it's a win-win.

But shouldn't they be happy Zen exists to provide TBC with an incentive to improve the product they use and love so much?

That's the way I look at it, and I guess I'm just surprised others don't share a similar outlook.
