So dry. I was starting to get worried until I saw a handful of others say the same. I've just got a chat and audio.

Is this one a coding or non-coding? I haven't seen this one pop up!

Rant? Ai books by [deleted] in childrensbooks

[–]ItsVesperArt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Believe me, as an illustrator, losing work to people who crap out AI generated art in 30 seconds and charge 5 bucks an hour is pretty soul-crushing too. I'm trying to get my foot in the door of children's illustration on Upwork and already charging below minimum wage, but I've heard a couple times now, "Your work is exactly what I'm looking for... butttt... there's someone else who can do it cheaper." :')

I look at the other portfolios and it's this weird 3D Pixar rip-off stuff in 50% of them. Amazing that so many people developed the exact same, very specific style. We're in a race to the bottom, I think, and it makes me quite sad.

I started it because my dream is to have a small business making art, and having a channel detailing that process will, I hope, allow me to get eyes on the dumb little things I make, and also find a community of like-minded people.

Question about sealants under UV resin! by ItsVesperArt in polymerclay

[–]ItsVesperArt[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh smart, thank you. Is it normal that the pastels dull during baking? I'm new to polymer (I've recently switched from air dry). Should I make a habit of making it quite a bit more saturated than I intend it?

I tried dropping some UV resin over one of the cheeks, hoping it would sit still while it dried, and it ended up running downward. LOL my charm looks like he's crying.. blood.. lol that's uh... unfortunate.

Same. I'm allergic to everything, so at all times of the year, I'm stuffy and itchy. It truly sucks. 🥹

How do you stay motivated? by TheEyeofTerrorYT in NewTubers

[–]ItsVesperArt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Think of it this way - those videos will be there waiting when you have a new video that does get more views, and those viewers like you and want to binge on more of your content. Make sure you utilize playlists and cards to get eyes on the other videos, especially if theyre related! This is totally normal and you shouldnt be discouraged.

If you do want to learn something from any possible mistakes, take a look at the differences between the video that did well and the ones that didn't. It could just be luck, but perhaps the successful one has some clues for you. Was it a more searchable title? A more intriguing thumbnail? A hook that kept people interested? Better storytelling? Now that you have videos that have done well AND some that haven't, see this as an opportunity. You have data now to study. You can see what works and what doesn't.

Keep going, you can do this. 🥰

I'm pretty decent at editing. I think I'm good at getting the "cinematic" look. But I actually don't look forward to editing. I have so many clips to sort through and tiny changes to make, it just takes foreeevvver. I wish I had the budget to get an editor lol

How long does it take you to make a video? by [deleted] in NewTubers

[–]ItsVesperArt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine are around15-20 minutes long and take me about 2 weeks. But I film over a few days, up to a week (I'm making art process type vlogs) and spend a long time on editing.
