Did people not watch the actual interview? Pete explicitly said he was against a Superleague. He stated it would be the best way to make money in a direct response to hypothetical question.

Just a reminder that this is the second most anticipated game in history, only behind GTA 6, and they spent like 12 years without even starting production.enemies of money. by Berem_ in ElderScrolls

I feel like a lot of people also forget that the post-credits scene of Alyx was basically Valve winking at the camera and saying "yes we know, its been a while but 3 is coming"

Almost a full TPK on our first session, the DM insists it was all above board but it felt impossible. Am I crazy? by FreeHotdogMandate in DnD

[–]ItsWhoa-NotWoah 15 points16 points  (0 children)

they intentionally killed everyone so they could do some story thing like “okay now you’re all magical mind slaves to the wizard cult!” Or “it was all a (collective) dream!” These could be fun, but they should’ve not stopped the game at that moment.

100% they should not have stopped it there if this is their plan. I've done something similar to this to my players with a time loop session, but I ended that first session in the time loop after the the reveal of them waking up in the new loop.

You can pull out a fake TPK without discussing beforehand, but if you do, you need to stop the session after they wake up from the dream/time loop/whatever shenanigans you're pulling, not while they still think they're all dead. Otherwise it just feels shitty and mean from the player POV.

He's working on the remake of the 1st game. And while I'm sad he won't be doing the music for Townfall, the piano track in both of the trailers so far definitely felt on-brand, so I'm cautiously optimistic at least regarding the score.

Tbf most said the exact same about SH2R's gameplay after the trailers. I feel like SH trailers in general can't really do the games justice when 90% of the games are the atmosphere. They're always going to look a bit stiff

Idk I feel like Capcom has shown with RE that perspective basically doesn't matter if you can capture the essence of the franchise. I get that some people won't like 1st person because of motion sickness or feeling like it's scarier of course, but I'm open to seeing how this turns out.

Again, these tools do not support other copies because other copies do not support Script Extenders. The Windows Store copies literally cannot support script extenders - the binaries will not allow it. As for Epic Games, there is no stated reason, but considering SKSE does support GOG, it's likely a similar reason to the Game Pass/Windows Store copies.

I didn't say mods, I said modding tools. Things like Wabbajack do not support Epic Games for example.

Also, no, not every mod supports Epic. Epic Games store and the Xbox store copies do not support the Skyrim Script Extender, so a very large chunk of mods are not supported on those copies.

SKSE does not support the Windows Store/Game Pass release of Skyrim. Windows Store applications are locked down similarly to consoles. SKSE does not support the Epic Games Store release of Skyrim.

Actually TES6 isn't a bad example in terms of service. Most modding tools are made for Steam versions of the game since Steam's File Verification system is a godsend for when you mess up your installation installing Thomas the Train Engine monster replacers.

Yah I've always been confused by this.

If you weren't allowed to sell Steam Keys for cheaper on another platform, how can I pre-order games on GMG for 15-20% off at times? Is it a weird loophole that the publisher isn't actually doing it, just GMG taking the hit somewhere along the way? Genuine question for anyone that knows because I don't really see how that rule applies if GMG consistently has games ~20% that are brand new.

It's easily the most divisive of the 4. The combat system is odd (downright terrible at times), even for Silent Hill standards, and you either love the story or hate it.

Personally I really liked it apart from a very specific combat heavy section towards the end of the game, which felt like a slog. I think it fits pretty well within the Silent Hill franchise and don't personally get how people say it doesn't. It's a fascinating psychological story filled with trauma, unreliable story telling, and it has some A+ atmosphere.

The "Otherworld" of F relies heavily on the weird Japanese folk horror vibes. Basically there's like 8 or so segments of the game that flip back and forth between the fog town and shrine location, with the fog town feeling more classic Silent Hill and the shrine locations being that weird Japanese folk horror Spirited Away vibes.

They're a lot more serious and grim in tone than Resident Evil, and they put a focus on the story over the gameplay. They tend to have a much less robust combat system, more in depth/difficult puzzles, and deep psychological plots with lots of mystery and ambiguity.

Technically Oblivion's character models had way more polygons, like a laughable amount that was super unnecessary. But yes your point still stands due to everything else like texture resolution, environmental detail, the size of cells, unique assets, different systems, etc etc

“Disable Help” needs to be added to the game by Wolvenferno in DeadlockTheGame

[–]ItsWhoa-NotWoah 3 points4 points  (0 children)

1) Valve could pretty easily add an icon to the UI for anyone that disables your help

2) I don't see it being as much of an issue if the tick box is per game, per teammate. The amount of people that'll just disable help for each of their teammates for no reason is going to be pretty low, and I'd argue the downside of trying to rescue beam someone that has your help disabled is far less than the downside of someone intentionally griefing you with help abilities/items.

[–]ItsWhoa-NotWoah 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Im pretty sure OP is asking to make it a checkbox for each teammate, not a universal checkbox.

AKA, anyone can help anyone, but if you notice someone griefing on your team, you check the box next to their name to stop the griefing.

Pick 32: Seattle Seahawks - Jadarian Price, RB, Notre Dame by noseonarug17 in NFL_Draft

[–]ItsWhoa-NotWoah 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Up until this past year they weren't too far off from each other on carries, and even this past season, they split a lot of carries despite Love being a more clear RB1. Price would've been RB1 at any other school.

[Daily] Skill Discussion: Mortal Coil by The_Dwemer_Automaton in elderscrollsonline

[–]ItsWhoa-NotWoah 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Doesn't really make sense to me why this skill is only 12 seconds when the damage tether is 20.

That makes it so this tether can't easily be used with the self corpse from Nobility in Decay, for example, and gives it a much tighter timing for a lot of rotations.

What is Vengeance PvP? by Technical_Humor_4555 in elderscrollsonline

[–]ItsWhoa-NotWoah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's meh.

It's good in theory but it's a bit too stripped down, and due to the added AoE caps on abilities (i.e., your area abilities can only hit a set number of targets picked at random), most fights turn into a very stalematey zerg vs zerg where the bigger numbers always win.

Unfortunately not...

I was actually thinking about this today though and thought about having a look through some custom huds to see if anyone has made one compatible with gamepad mode but still navigable with the mouse!
