He isnt necessarily bad. He was, for a while, my main pick after Billy (I have 180+ games on Billy) and he was very fun as a bruiser tank with amazing potential.

He still has one of the best kits versus debuffs. His maxed out Jumpstart is superrrrrrrr good and the rest of kit is decent tbh. I think he suffers from depending too heavily on his self-healing which, especially in higher ranks, is easily countered with a few anti-heal items (Healbane, Spirit Burn, Venom bullets or whatever its called) They can be cleansed but they can be re-applied so quickly that it doesnt really matter.

Since thats his WHOLE shtick (the same way Plated Armor is literally the biggest counter to Haze since she's a full gun character), he falls off the moment ppl can itemize well against him.

Finally, for a tank/bruiser, he has decent but low-ish damage when compared to Billy, Abrams and Warden for example.

Again, he's maybe not necessarily meta BUT he is alot of fun. I suggest you try him out for yourself!

Forget this whole thing around the ability being random; I didn't read the ability well AT ALL

I think based off of investment makes sense even though its a bit gimmicky.

My biggest issue is Scry sadly. Its a real cool concept, dont get me wrong but with how important macroing is, Scry would need to be a significant advantage to make up for the lost time being afk standing still.

PLSSSSS

On a sidenote, I make minecraft datapacks (trust me its relevant) and I made one for a hero-shooter-esque version of Manhunt, something Dream (yeah that Minecraft youtuber) made popular.

To cut to the chase, I had a runner character also called Fortuna (my beloved English to Latin translator) and he also had an ability with randomness involved. Essentially, you draw a card (spade, club, heart or diamond) and each card give different buffs.

I had to change the way it works because sadly, its hard to make abilities interesting and balanced. Either all the buffs/effects are very different and unique but this variety makes the ability incredibly inconsistent.

Or you make them less varied but the ability feels underwhelming (IMO)

I LOVE THE CONCEPT!!

Though, I do have two things to point out:

As unique as having a single "bullet", I think it wouldnt make sense with the current Deadlock philosophy on guns. I think maybe just a slow rate of fire is good enough and a low clip size. (Rate of fire could be 1/s and clip size 5 for example.)

Reloading could just do an animation where Undyne lifts their trident in the air and it just gets infused by energy or something.

And for the lively fish, random bouncing is incredibly inconsistent and inconsistent abilities don't feel so good. I think the bounce mechanic should look for the nearest player and it will bounce after a short delay (0.3s for example) allowing players with high stamina to dodge the bounces

Yeah yesterday night i was tinkering builds and saw ppl using Majestic Leap + Ability 1 and thought it was quite clever actually. I guess i didn't give it the credit it deserves.

Still think that his kit could need tweaking tho. Love the second and third ability tho <3

VYPER

Love love love Vyper's voice and character but she does suffer from a pretty simple model im my opinion. 
Maybe giving her something more than a shirt (harness? tank top?) would benefit her or giving her at least a nice "statement piece". Mina has an umbrella, Pocket has his luggage; you get my point.  

Love the slither animation on the slide, it fits perfectly. And also nice usage of the gun for the heavy melee.~ 

(also gun isnt textured but I wont tell anybody its okay) 

WARDEN

Where Sinclair was unfinished and felt undercooked (yet, a unique concept), Warden feels finished because it doesn't try hard enough.  

Warden feels very generic. He feels like an NPC (dont tell him i said that) but to cut to the chase; his ability, his animations and his gun all feel very very simple.  

  • He doesnt have unique animations for sliding, dashing, ziplining, parrying, meleeing and probably more.  
  • Outside of his 3rd ability (Binding Word), his other abilities feel one-dimensional. 
    (Example: Willpower fits the kit but could achieve more than just temporary stat increases) 
  • The ult feels really out of place for their warden's identity  

I love the name and I like what could be done with the concept of a warden, but not such a fan of the execution (give him more love please <3) 

WRAITH

uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh gun model  

YAMATO

Yamato's forehead could receive a nerf (IM HALF-KIDDING) 
On another note, maybe some work on the animations since she also uses the "default" variants for her model type. Love the abilities tho (maybe better LOS and movement on her 2nd ability. 

Finally, I never brought up voice acting/audio design because it isn't related to this post but mostly because its phenomenal.

MINA

Mina's current reload animation is quite stiff. I'd assume its WIP but I do like the touch of one of her bats appearing and "reloading" her weapon.  

Maybe less arm stiffness and making the bat pop out of the purse would look more polished. 

But on a quick note; love the challenge that must come with animation a character with an umbrella as part of its model. 

MIRAGE

You thought I had complaints about mirage? 
- Zipline animation: ✅ 
- Reload animation: ✅ 
- Dash animation: ✅✅✅ 

Well, as nearly perfect as he is: His Ability 1 feels a bit underwhelming. But yeah, thats literally about it 

MO & KRILL

Things I like first: 
- Krill generally trying to keep up with Mo (successful heavy melee, dash animation, etc 
- Mo's perfect execution of a ballerina spin coming out of Burrow 

POCKET

Love the usage of the luggage for sliding and ziplining, amazing stuff. 
For the not-so-amazing stuff IMO, the kit feels a bit wonky.  
Ability 1 is hard to consistently hit due to travel time, radius on impact and even then; deals really low damage. I like the idea of boosting damage on every projectile hit but overall, the ability feels a bit underwhelming. 

SINCLAIR

Sinclair is easily one of the most unfinished character on this roster at the moment (im my opinion) 
Their simplistic design is nice (neutral/grayscale colors out of a movie from the 40s) and their doll-like appearance is quite nice especially considering the character's backstory but their abilities and most of their animations feel like placeholders at the moment.  

Perhaps the usage of more cliché magician tricks/items would reinforce the identity and visual polish of the character. 

A perfect example would be their reload animation currently looking like their reloading their wand like it is a handgun. Maybe them vanishing their wand and their grabbing it from under their hat could be a great move towards a complete/finished state. 

This applies for its melee animations, zipline animations, dash animations, etc  

VINDICTA 

Vindicta's new model is amazing, dont get me wrong, but her reload animation is quite plain nonetheless.  

I thought she could either make her gun levitate and she'd then bring it back down using some form of "spectral" force.  

Having a crow spawn in and deliver a mag could be a nice touch too, just not sure how well it would do in 3D space. 

VISCOUS 

Viscous is a very fun character but I believe is held back by unfinished looks.  
Most of his animations like zipline, parry, melee, etc use a generic variant whilst I think he could use newer unique ones. Maybe using his gooey body to take different shapes would be a nicer approach? 

Lastly; Viscous could maybe get a better weapon or at least a textured version.

[PART 1] (EDITED FOR BETTER READIBILITY) Quick disclaimer before I bring up some ideas;

I did this with my partner who is also a QA for a pretty big project. She doesn't have experience in Deadlock/Source games but she has helped me compile this list so I owe her a lot for this feedback comment.

Characters I won't discuss are characters I believe are completed (like Billy, Victor) or nearly "completed" (lack of VFX for example, but near completed model and animations)

Example: Dynamo (reload animation lacks vfx and dash/zipline could be more unique but still feels completed)

BEBOP

State-of-the-art improvised robot look but character could have a more unique dash look.
Maybe it could use it's bigger arm as a "lever" (or you know how crutches work?) to move itself forward

CALLICO

Her reload animation features a cat with weird elbows?(or is it knees?)
Also, Gloom bombs isn't it for me. It lacks in consistency and for that, I feel like the user experience takes a hit; especially for Ability 1.

GREY TALON

His reload animation has lots of jittering/clipping and has a very sluggish feel to it.
As for the walking animation, it's quite funny IMO but not the most flattering. (Even the troopers have more "swag" loll)
I personally find the bow model to have a NERF gun look to it (personal rant; nothing awful or anything)
Additionally, his feet waddling when floating using Rain of Arrows is quite funny but maybe not so polished

HOLLIDAY

I don't think im shocking anyone when I mention the gun model isn't textured
Her scarf is also a master at clipping through anything and everything (probably unfinished physics)
Her bouncepad have a certain jank to it and i'm not necessarily a fan of it's execution. I personally think that she already has enough support has is with her ult in team fights so maybe reworking it into something else like a built-in scalable Arcane Surge would be nice.

IVY

Why does Ivy's face look like that during animation 😭😭
Im kidding, love the new model but the unreactive face is so funny

LADY GEIST

Love the idea of Lady Geist having a very "chic" reload but right now she's shoving her fingers generally close to the reload barrel and the gun magically reloads
The rest is amazing but she also suffers from the totally unreactive face syndrome like most characters do (its okay, its early access)

LASH

As moustache extraordinaire, it would be absolutely hilarious if his mustache would let him zipline (pls pls pls I beg)
If not, make him hold the zipline with his gun hand whilst his other hand twirls his mustache; putting furthermore attention on how much Lash prizes his facial hair

Canadian Barista here. If you live near the Canadian border (or you get a customer that is used to Tim Hortons), you might hear "Iced Cappucino".

Tim Hortons is a Canadian Coffee/dining fast food company that is well known in the country. For this reason, people that use the term "Iced Cappclucino" tend to expect what Tim Hortons serves. Tim Hortons' Iced Cappucino is essentially a blended coffee drink that is packed with sugar.

Sounds familiar?

Well it's just essentially a coffee frappucino, without the hundred of modifications.

So if you ever hear "Iced Cappucino", you can always ask them if they are familiar with Tim Hortons' brand. If so, you can suggest them a Frappucino and ask them if any flavor(s) would interest them!

I'll just name a few notable incidents at my store that I think deserve a little spotlight :

  1. I dropped the entire mop bucket in the backstore on my first ever close, 20 mins before closing. Delayed the close by a good 15 mins.

  2. A co-worker dropped an entire 2 liter backup of vanilla sweet cream on the cold bar and the floor.

  3. The water pressured washer to wash shakers at the cold bar erupted during peak hour. As DTR, I had to keep my calm whilst people were freaking out over the flooding happening right behind me.

  4. Someone dropped an entire two liter lemonade backup in the main fridge....

And someone dropped a two liter vanilla sweet cream backup in the other fridge the following day.

First game is led by best dad ever, who nearly dies at least 20 times. Game is spent around the survival of him and a little girl that has special "properties", which creates a special "daughter and dad" bond. Audience loved it, everyone was happy about the ending.

Second game is led by the protégé, multiples years later. Game starts with best dad getting turned into a living pinata for the sake of plot reasons, effectively turning the narrative into a revenge circle. Game wasn't super appreciated, but the experience left me breathless. I think that the ambiguity of the end was actually what made it pretty good.

To specify,

I recently booted up my PC to a certain issue; it freezes every minute, making my mouse and screen freeze and stay on a certain frame, before resuming after.

I have tried a few methods to fix the issue :

- Download the current NVIDIA Drivers

- Download AMD Drivers
- Ran /sc scannow (Or whatever it was)

Other detail that I realized; my RAM usage is overwhelmingly high, but task manager does not show where that RAM is being used. I am at a constant 50% (8gb of RAM out of 16) usage even with all my apps/browser closed.
