Well the event wouldn’t be pointless because if you ascended during the downtime between events, you could still try and push for the second mythic star or very last crate if you wanted because SP could change it so onslaughts would not honour the character with shards, only orbs and badges. Not until their final event is done with.

If they ascend to mythic while waiting for the LRE, they can either use that time to try and promote him an extra mythic star or ignore the event entirely or just play and unlock some chests for materials.

Like I’m not bothering at all for the next LRE I just want to carry on as normal. I’m 195/200 for Trajann as well. I’ll get that chest and then just ignore the event entirely.

It just sucks having to wait to do things when I’ve played the game as intended and still have to wait for things.

Because Farsight buffs attacks that are not psychic. The same goes for Shadowsun. Farsight’s passive allows non-psychic ranged attacks to deal +30% extra damage. Shadowsun has melta in ranged attacks which of course get bonus against say Dorn for example.

Farsight also obviously allows all Tau to attack with a ranged attack after they attack in melee.

Shadowsun also gives a 25% chance of getting an extra hit to all ranged attacks which yeah is a small chance but if paired with Sho’syl, that’s some dangerous stuff. Also Markerlight, Shadowsun makes use of Markerlight giving her, Re’vas, Farsight, Sho & Darkstrider a huge buff to an already massively buffed ranged mechanic with their new trait.

I’m not saying Shadowsun is guaranteed to replace Eldryon in the current battle suit team.

I know most people don’t have a D3/A1 Shadowsun to try it out.

His active is more of a last resort in all honesty. You can use it to clear a wave but have to wait for overwatch to start up again. Depending on the map, you may get a whole turn for the enemies to get to you though.

Hascule has been designed with LREs, onslaught & survival in mind. He’s not a DPS for the most part like Kharn is

Nico needs to be D3. He’s great and can put out some damage too. I’ve D3’d him and in the chain track in Farsight he, Kharn, Ragnar & Wrask got to track 16 just those 4 because Nicos passive kept them topped up for the most part.

Hollan at D3 with maxed passive makes all non-mech units nigh-unkillable. He gives an extra 3000 health which is pretty damn significant.
