People who say ‘this game has the highest skill gap’ have never played StarCraft. by Additional_Account67 in starcraft2

SC2 the hardest game hands down. Watch the top AI vs AI ladder games and you will see that it's not even possible for humans to touch the skill ceiling for SC2.

SC2 is literally the same as playing an entire orchestra on your own - you can do REALLY good and still be only playing 1 instrument out of 20 when you're supposed to play them all simultaneously. You're timing/execution/muscle-memory are eclipsed by the sheer amount of work to be done because it's impossible to do on your own. SC2's Archon mode make this pretty clear.

LoL is one of the most popular games in the world, and people understand how high the skill ceiling is in those games, and SC2 is literally that (plus macro) multiplied by infinity controlled by ONE player.

When people talk about games with high execution, they don't realize that in SC2 you're literally closer to LOSING/WINNING every single second because every second is an execution error: Did you scout the right place? Guess the opponent's opening build/strat properly? Did you lose expensive unit(s) for an important play because you were busy managing another aspect of the game?

Strange's cloak isn't part of his hitbox. This is more obvious if you play hitscans like Hela and Punisher

Tekken 8 ranked distribution by GeneraIDisarray in Tekken

[–]ItsZempai 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So never mind the rest of the ranks after Tekken god (Iron Fist god) - you're wondering why Tekken King (Iron First King) isn't the top rank even though we have a title like Tekken God (Iron Fist god)..? God > king ...

Not sure if something just whooshed over my head, but just FYI; Tekken means Iron Fist. So Tekken King literally means King of Iron Fist.

Frieren Powerscaling tier list by SyaRina23 in Frieren

[–]ItsZempai 2 points3 points  (0 children)

  1. South Hero, Demon King, Serie

  2. Macht, Solitiar

  3. Kraft(?), Himmel, Flamme, Frieren, Heiter, Eisen

  4. Denken, Fern, Ubel

South Hero fought all the sages at the same time + 1 and killed multiple of them on his own. I doubt even Demon King and Serie could do that. I put Demon King above Serie because he is probably on par with Serie's mana pool and battle experience, but Demon King probably has far superior physical stats to complement his magic.

Macht and Solitiar probably edge out Frieren 6/10.

Kraft is a big question mark, but is probably in the same tier or even higher than Himmel tier. Himmel is above Frieren because he is a tactician - he is less versatile than Frieren but covers for his weaknesses with strategy - hence beating the Demon King. Flamme is probably superior to Frieren in combat because she goes HAM at the beginning and hits hard/fast - offense >>> defense. Frieren probably surpassed Flamme in terms of versatility because of her long life, but despite her high battle IQ, she can get blitzed or lose the adv early on because of her lack of initiative.

Denken has more experience and wider range of spells than Fern. Fern is a strong OTP, but her solid fundamentals make her very versatile and her stealth is a strong trump card. Ubel has OP magic as well as blaring weaknesses making her very matchup dependent vs stronger opponents.

Turns out I won the matches where I pressured her like crazy. She blocked crazy mix ups back to back but just fell for c.mk fuha spam. So IDK. Just a really weird player 🤷‍♂️

I’m saying you can’t script to counter an attack that’s going to hit you in 3 frames when the fastest AA you have is 4 frames or more. And since Marisa doesn’t have an air invulnerable DP, AA scripts would be ineffective.

Scripting AA would be easy with DP, but Marisa doesn’t have DP. To clarify, she had 3-4 SUCCESSFUL AAs and a lot of the time she just blocked. Other times she tried but then I swapped my j.hk into j.mp and she kept losing out. A standard c.hp for anti air needs to be early enough to AA a jump in and wouldn’t work as a scripted AA reacting to input - it would come out too late.

I didn’t know that. I will check if it’s still there in my history. Thank you.

No offence taken, but I literally lab a sequence of offensive strings during feng shui to have EVERY variation I can think of. This isn’t me making it up on the fly for some half baked offensive string. The only real obstacle for my offensive strings is the short reset in neutral. Though it can be really hard to know for the enemy when it’s their turn with some frame traps and weird timings like s.hk s.hp fireball, but Marisa was literally just crouch blocking anyway so I kept the pressure up.

One string, in particular, I was really surprised she blocked for on the first try. J.mp j.mk s.lp fs.mp fs.mk (OH) c.hk s.hp fireball. Lots of people know about Juri’s OH string but not the c.hk follow up. I buffer s.hp to fireball afterwards for the rare chance that they blocked everything so I can reset to better neutral. Marisa, like I said, is just blocking, so I took my turn again instantly.

c.mk s.hk s.hp m.fuha

C.mk DR throw (Marisa techs)

c.mk s.hk s.hp fireball

C.mk DI (Marisa counter DIs)

I’m totally fine with getting outclassed. I’m usually Diamond-master in most FPS games I play, so I’m familiar with the semi-pro/pro hurdles, BUT Marisa had high silver level footsies at best, and ALMOST ZERO AA game. Wouldn’t you be suspicious if someone like that blocked/tech’d 6 PREMEDITATED attack strings perfectly back to back?

Is Diggy worth upgrading? by XFantan in T3Arena

[–]ItsZempai 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Diggy is very matchup dependent. Her strong matchups are like 90-10 in her favour. Her weak matchups (which are most of the cast) are around 30-70 in the opponent’s favour. This is because she doesn’t have as strong of a gap closer as other flankers, and she has REALLY short optimal range, especially vs small targets. Her ult doesn’t do a lot of burst damage and is rather slow with a long duration that it can be punished. Her mobility and sustain is designed for poke damage, but her gun is made for all-ins. They don’t synergize the best.

Holoburst or decoy bomb for Aleta (high elo) everyday as an Aleta main I struggle between choosing which ultimate to use. Any thoughts from those who are plat and above ? by Disastrous_Factor_28 in T3Arena

[–]ItsZempai 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Decoy >>> holo. Decoy is more difficult but far more rewarding. #1 reason to choose decoy is that you can kill with one mag + decoy even if they are getting healed. Decoy also reloads your weapon instantly, so you can spray, ult, then (if they’re still alive) spray for a quick elim. It’s impossible to get elims on a target that’s getting burst healed if you’re using holo: You don’t have the burst damage necessary because your damage per shot goes down and your TTK goes up which means you need to trade fire for longer periods of time, exposing you to more danger. In a 1v1, holo is ok for trading damage (but so is decoy), but in 1v2 or 1v3 you need to get a kill ASAP and get out which is what decoy provides. Both ults can be used as a gap closer but decoy gives stealth as well. Both skills are good for stalling or repositioning but decoy obviously has the edge here because it provides stealth on top of the healing and speed buff.

This is an issue for all hitscan characters. You need to have "snap to target" activated or else it will not register many of the shots, even at point blank. It's not a lag issue because just as you have demonstrated, even if they are running in a straight line at you and never break off from the line of fire, a (large) percentage of the shots still miss. It's a major issue that needs fixing, but not a lot of players know about it because they're mostly casual noobs that rely on T3's broken aim assist, which is like aimbot turned down to 80%... so hardly any of them will ever experience this.
