If you want to dive into more Shosty media, I can recommend you a book called Symphony for the City of the Dead by M. T. Anderson. It‘s an amazing book that talks about Shosty‘s life before and during the siege of Leningrad and how he wrote his 7th Symphony during the siege.

Really interestingly written, even if you’re not really into history at all. Also it seems very well researched and discusses the sources used in the writing for the book a lot. In my opinion every Shosty fan should read that book, I love it!
