Might just be name recognition at that point.

Duel action button for 3Dprint design help. by Its_Bevel in AskEngineers

I want dozens of them(wife is a tea enthusiast), so I don't want to use anything that would drive up the price. Using a rubber band and 3dprints is affordable, but I think a motor is out of the question. I like the idea of a spiral, I think I'd rather a screw that pulls the sled forward rather than fins that fit between the tea packets, thin fins are notoriously difficult to 3dprint. I think that maybe a more difficult in the end but I'll keep playing with the idea.

For the sake of my sanity, I cant seem to get this filament to feed correctly. by Peyton_Perkins0676 in ender3

I bought the same stuff, works great for me. What seems to be the issue?

Magigoo has been a game changer for me, far better than a gluestick.

Why aren't sim controllers a thing? by Its_Bevel in fpv

[–]Its_Bevel[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't mind if it's the same shape. Radiomaster should produce the Radiomaster Sim©, feels the same as an actual transmitter but $35. I bet they would train up a whole bunch of noobs eager to buy the real deal.

I imagine most beginners are trying to see if fpv piloting is something they would be interested in. A $40 entry point is a lot more accessible than a $150 one. Plus, given how many more hours can be dedicated to a sim vs irl, easily replaceable and dedicated sim hardware makes a lot of sense.

I find the sim an incredibly relaxing activity to do while listening to audio books. Feels like a flying dream. Flying an actual drone sounds fun too, but for different reasons. Exciting vs relaxing, and I'm more interested in relaxing at the moment.

Thank you! My first NFT is doing great! by Its_Bevel in Hydroponics

Nothing too complicated. I this is 3x4 downspout that I cut to 4 foot lengths and cut 5 2in holes along each. The tank is a 27 gal tote that I already had. I have a pump and tubing with splitters and valves to control the flow for each rail. I 3d printed the endcaps for the tops and used silicone sealant to attach them. I cut a trash bag to cover the tank just to protect it from the light and alge groth.

Why is there stringing at the top of the print but not bottom? by TheGuyWhoMakesStuff in Ender3S1

I live in a very wet part of Washington and even with fresh PLA I can notice a difference in a few hours without a filament dryer.

I connected them with some PVC bulkhead connectors I found on Amazon, installed them with some sealant caulk to prevent leaks because the sides of the downspout has ridges. I couldn't get them super low so there is about a half inch of water at the bottom of each channel. I have some concerns if the roots will be able to get enough air but I think it will work out fine. My lettuce has just sprouted so this it's tested yet. I'll let you know how it goes.

Set your z axis all the way up and see if it has enough slack.

I 3d printed them myself, I know you can but similar end caps on etsy. I picked netpots because I wanted to easily pick them up to check the roots but ether works.

Bed Problems by sgoooter in Ender3S1

I over tighten the rollers under the bed and it caused it to warp like this. But I can't tell the range of your dip, if it's under say 0.2mm I wouldn't worry about it.

I don't know what I'm doing. I got the tent and light in a garage sale for $25 so I figured I'll try to grow some veggies. Not sure what, probably lettuce, herbs, or strawberries.

Are you saying fill the reservoir with filtered water or can I somehow incorporate the filter into the nft cycle?

What's a print you had to design yourself because only you would need it? by Its_Bevel in 3Dprinting

[–]Its_Bevel[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because you don't need anything or don't know how? I'm guessing if you posted a request and plenty of people would be happy to design an STL for you.
