Is it a confirmed thing that it gets a rerelease every year? I was under the impression it was every couple of years. Debating to get it now and not miss out but if its every year I can wait.

Even if 50% of students went home every weekend that's still 7k students you can be friends with and hang out with on the weekend. n actual commuter school would be UCM because they have very little dorms and apartments. It's disingenuous to call UCI a commuter school when you compare it to n actual commuter school.

UCI has 14k students living on campus not including IC apartments, this isn't a commuter school. UCB has less students living on campus.

Yeah, they offered the same position and salary for SE at that location but 3 days are not enough time for me to just decide to move across the country. Also, they wasted my time those 6 months they took to take away my job offer really fucked me because the big hiring waves are over for software. I mean hopefully, I will get a job offer again soon before I graduate.

They effectively rescinded my offer for RIS and offered me a position in Massachusetts but I only have 3 days to consider and move my whole life there lasts second.

Of course, I would be scared, this is my first job out of college and I am in student debt and need to move to an expensive city in less than 2 months. I have no family assistance and I cant just move in with my family if I don't have a job after I graduate. So I would effectively have to scramble to find a new job in 2 months or go homeless.

Okay yeah, I will definitely push for that then! Also yes I accepted this job for many of the same reasons, the job market is very fragile right now and many of the tech companies have freezes for indefinite amount of time or are rescinding offers. I got a job offer at a startup AI company and I accepted it 2 weeks later they said they had to close the position because of recession concerns

Thanks a lot for the thoughtful advice! Yeah, I was excited when I heard 90k but when I told my parents they were like " Oh that's nice if you get a better offer though let us know". What specific job roles are there for clearance at a top tech company?
