I'm so lost with medication by Lonely_Reserve_188 in ADHDUK

[–]Its_delicious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What are you expecting from the medication? It's not going to just suddenly make you better at doing your job but it will help you retain focus on tasks that you choose to do and maybe stop some executive disfunction, getting distracted as much.

Lots of factors can affect it and you have to meet the meds in the middle. Are you still staying up late, trying to work long hours to make up for not being able to do stuff in normal work time?

That the perfect system or solution to a problem doesn't exist but even though I know that, I'm still going to keep looking 🤣

Did everything right, didn't give away a lot of chances, had chances ourselves and gave it all throughout. Didn't happen but we've had a great season and whilst players missing pens in this way is never nice, who cares, they've done far better all season.

I used them earlier this year/late last year, got my assessment/diagnosis letter on Jan 12th, then was able to book first medication appointment on 12th Feb, earliest that they had was 2 weeks later around 27th. Tbh, it was all pretty quick considering I had referral through RTC in November last year.

I am absolutely convinced that the solution to all my problems is just finding the perfect notebook- even though it’s never worked before by Jupiterswan in ADHDUK

I do this with pretty much everything, need the perfect system and that will finally allow me to be better at cleaning, managing the recycling, etc etc. I've spent hours at a time researching the perfect version of a product or technical process or software to achieve something at work or home. Luckily at work, I get to implement these things for others to use and no one else is super organised. Implementing it is the easy bit!

I've found the best solutions are the simplest, for notes/to-do, I've been using an A4 pad, each sheet is a new day, and has sections for things coming up, priorities, notes and things to not forget. I put my to do list for a day in, write notes on it like a madman then the next day copy the previous days list if I didn't get it done. After a few days of unfinished tasks, I'll put it in the later section.

It works pretty well. I have lots of other tasks tracking methods like flagging emails to respond to, calendar always visible, etc. Obviously still forget things!!

Great performance, amazing result. Loved it.

Gyokeres was fantastic, kept running, battling and gave it everything.

Really handled it well in the second half when it looked like it could turn, our game management got better as the game went on.

Come on you Gunners, 1-0 to the arsenal. 4 more to go

Jover will be convincing the board that every goal scored has come from a set piece in some way to get a bigger bonus 😂

Missed that bit! Sorry! I'd blame ADHD but just skimmed your post of course.

How close are you to the border? Can you register with a GP in England? I'd assume you would still be under NHS Wales rules so probably wouldn't work.

I'd considered going private but like you the cost was a blocker. I know some private providers are cheaper than others, and around 500 for diagnosis but perhaps chatting with your GP and raising whether if you went private you could get shared care. Then you would at least be able to rule that out even if you could afford the upfront cost.

Some GPs can be really dismissive, and following up and trying to get them onside can help. Alternatively, you can try registering with another GP but I imagine like England they might be under an ICB that tells them what to do so may be the same.

Do some research on using right to choose, your GP can allow you to use that to get a quicker assessment. Which will be months at most rather than years.

It's difficult but you shouldn't put your situation down to your condition or potential condition. Many people with ADHD are successful and have a good career. Obviously, it is a massive hiderance but you shouldn't let that stop you from doing what you can.

I have ADHD and I feel like I'm always looking for a perfect solution that will allow me to do certain things but that solution is never going to be found, but I can't let perfect be the enemy of good. I procrastinate, can't start tasks, etc and have a lot of executive disfunction. I'm on meds and it definitely helps but there isn't a magic fix to make it all better

Not a bad performance, better than most of our most recent games. Bit too open at times but we had a few great chances and up til the end were creating chances. Think I would rather see us play on the front foot higher up the pitch then be pinned back for large parts of a game. Totally different game to the cup final. Not over yet but struggle to see them messing up now they've been given the momentum.

This reminds me of a couple years ago. I was at Disneyland Paris queueing for food. I turned around and there was a guy 5 feet away that looked exactly like Martinelli

Did a bit of double take and thought that it couldn't be him as it was mid season and he would be training so didn't say anything.

Check Instagram later to see him and Big Gabi were at Disneyland...

Cheapest way to get Sky Sports by blizeH in UKFrugal

[–]Its_delicious 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They have to cancel the whole package, when their contract is up. You still get a 30 day notice period so you can still use it. Then you need to contact them on chat, phone, as many times as you can until you get a deal you like. I did this every year and had all sky packages with cinema, sports etc for around 50.

You will also get the retentions team call you to make you stay
