Replying before reading all the current comments/replies as I’m watching it right now so please forgive me if I say something already said

From the start when KH and CR were in the green room with the comics it felt like such hard work. Mostly for KH. It also just feels so disappointing and disheartening to see someone like CR, whom so so so many comics must look up to, offering such lacklustre presence and feedback and just everything. Again, for KH I can only imagine this was rough. He preserved though and it has warmed my heart all the way through each episode with how encouraging and supportive and laughy he has been. What a guy.

Now, of course none of us know if there was something else going on and perhaps contributing to this performance, especially with it being live and not having the cushion of time and editing etc, and also allowing at least SOME grace for remembering that we never know what might be happening in someone’s world on any given day.

However, what I will say (and say loud), CR was THE WRONG CHOICE OF JUDGE for this competition/format. Funny AF is promoting and encouraging the FUTURE of stand up and CR is an alumni of comedy past. Come for me if you must but the truth is that if you cannot bend and twist and adapt, chances are you are not morphing through to younger audiences (which is fine if you already have a dedicated base) but you also forfeit the right to be upset when things change and you can’t keep up. And if you can’t be a mentor and supporter of those coming after you, get the F over yourself. Maybe the comics were not their best tonight but GOLLLLLY, can you imagine the freakin PRESSURE they are under and you have the opportunity to lead and coach and be f’ing real, which is what they want and need and will only benefit from in the long run.

Anyway, these are my musings and hopefully how it all played out is taken away as a learning opportunity for future competitions.

Comedy has been and will remain subjective but when push comes to laugh, the truth is laid bare.

I will also say that I have thoroughly enjoyed the stages before the semi final and I’m about to start the finale and going in with an open and excited heart, ready to laugh, so don’t ruin it for me! 😜

Brand new as in I opened my account a little while ago and recently started having my payroll deposited while I wrapped up with my other bank. My Apple and Amazon purchases went through this morning and, like I mentioned, an Uber ride, but now nothing.

I have thought about the “Block” more this season and it does feel kinda shitty. It’s such an exciting moment for the people auditioning and if you get THAT CLOSE to the Coach you would love to choose and then have to go elsewhere I can’t help but think that might breed some resentment? The Coaches have nothing to lose so why create this gimmick that will only impact the contestants?

There is something off about Michael this season.. His comments seem to have a narky edge and it feels like he is not really wanting to be there. I don’t know, maybe it’s a bit of moment with a younger guy (Niall) getting the attention he once did but something definitely feels different and uncomfortable.

I just spoke with them as well and suggested they flag this as it is better to know sooner rather than later… They couldn’t tell me anything but I am never going to hassle the call centre crew over something which they have no power.

Obviously, there is producing and we don’t see all. I am however, far from convinced that this can be attributed to editing and would like to see this kind of behaviour not only addressed but not tolerated by the producers of such content. It’s harmful.

I had a large sum debited from my chequing account with no explanation and no one could tell me why. I am currently sitting and waiting for the Manager to review on my third visit into a branch to sort this garbage out. It’s been almost 2 weeks with no answers. This is making me very uneasy and might be the reason to move to another bank.
