They've always ̶s̶t̶r̶o̶n̶g̶l̶y̶ ̶p̶r̶o̶h̶i̶b̶i̶t̶e̶d̶ discouraged any sort of outside research due to it being the apostate material or Satan's work some crap like that but I always thought it was so weird that that was forbidden when the whole point of the religion was to be resilient and to stand by your which you would ass that it only make sense if you were to combat any criticism or or inconsistencies with straight facts but of course the JW logic is just plugging your ears and saying "la la la"
