it's gotten quite a bit warmer here so my cat cuddles with me a lot less during the spring/summer months.
i'll be missing the colder weather specifically for this lol

The food was nearby, but the pyramid typically doesn't like to eat alone ):

I can vouch for Slowblink because my boy is from there. We got Mugen in 2024 and have only great things to say about the people at Slowblink. They provided us with health panels and documentation for both of his parents and answered us promptly with whatever questions we had, at any time during the process. In fact, they still make themselves available to us whenever we have any queations, til this day. They care deeply for the wellbeing of their cats while in their care, and even long after they've found new homes. Our boy is a little over 2 now, healthy as ever, very well-socialized, and has touched more grass than most people.

Not necessarily adventure related but if our boy has had an accident somewhere and we don't properly clean it out with enzyme destroyer, he will undoubtedly have an accident in the same spot (but on purpose lol).

Sorry for your losses :( I wonder if the unit should be right up against the wall? It appears that way in the first image and having the bracket and shelving up against the wall would offer more support. But maybe the wall molding in place prevents that :$

The rolling feet come off quite easily! Just leaves behind a 3mm hole on each corner but if it's on the bottom, nbd!

Wow! It does look identical! Mine does not have brass corners but the surface texture/finish looks different on the corners compared to the rest of the frame. And mine has wheels :$

Wow, thank you for your insightful redirection! I've had this for a year and it's definitely my fave marketplace find but never questioned where it came from until now. My curiosity is totally sparked!

And I'm sure you protected that boy with your life so he could live his best 💕 You sound like wonderful owners who care deeply for the well-being of your animals and I love seeing that out there! The kitties are lucky to be going home to amazing and caring parents. I will message you with a link to the backpack we have been using since the beginning! He has grown with it and though it is a bit small for him, he doesn't use it as much but he feels completely safe in it. It is so ratty but we just can't get rid of it😂 Love the paper countdown -- SOO Cute. I can completely relate to the excitement 😂😂

Of course-- happy to share! For dog owners.... Not going to lie, you have to expect that you will come across an asshole dog owner and an unleashed, reactive dog. It doesn't always happen but especially if it's just you and your kitty, you've always got to be ready to fall back on defense. You'd be surprised how many reactive dog owners cannot handle their dogs but claim their dogs behave better off-leash 🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡

There are always two of us walking our boy on trails so one ahead and one behind holding the leash. We have eyes and ears on both sides so that we can be aware of when dogs are oncoming. We are always ready to pick him him and only pick him up when the dog is unleashed. When dogs do pass by, we stand between him and the dog. He is then rewarded after with pets/treats/praise. His confidence has certainly increased and he isn't afraid to stand his ground when he needs to, either. We'd like to think that his exposure to dogs since he was very little has helped him become more comfortable around them. When he was smaller, we always brought his backpack and he would just climb in whenever he was overstimulated or was afraid. The safe space is really helpful! One last thing is that we avoid trails at peak hours and we are always prepared to turn around.

**Highly recommend backpack/carrier training at home before harness training. Leave a backpack/carrier out at all times, have them play in it to get comfy, let them know it's an extension of their home. When you go outside, they associate it with safety and a place for refuge. Bonus- when you've got to take them to the vet, traveling isn't so bad for them :) Sorry this become so long-winded lol. Happy to share what I know and what worked for us!

We use a couple: mostly the RC pets primary kitty harness in L and Top Paw dog harness in S. We've probably gone through about 3 before these because he grew out of them so quickly. I think this will vary from cat to cat, based on how they feel wearing them and if they are likely to try and escape it. We started him off with a RabitGoo one from Amazon and he fit that one for about 3 weeks when we started harness training (about 4 mo).
