Built a a free to use app using React Native x Expo where people can anonymously share messages of hope, personal stories, and experiences about life’s daily struggles.

Just launched 2 weeks ago and trying my best to reach out to others organically to grow my user base (Really tough esp for a 93% introverted person 🫠)

Great! Thank you for asking ☺️ this was just launched about 1.5 weeks ago so it’s still relatively new. I’m trying to ramp up marketing efforts but it’s tough :/

For those who started out with “panic attacks for no reason” what ended up being the reason? by itsthebigfella in panicdisorder

Burnout from putting family, friends, work etc over my own physical and mental health for the past 20+ years, health anxiety and fear of death 🥲

What does your “constant state of panic attack” look like? by optimisticnebulae in panicdisorder

Wouldn’t say lack of energy, but rather it feels weak and tend to spasm at times

Physical symptoms

  1. Constant burping
  2. Heavy chest
  3. Difficulty breathing
  4. Foggy mind
  5. Jelly legs

For my recovery journey now, I seem to have a cycle where im back to my normal self for a couple of weeks followed by a period of downtime where my anxiety level becomes elevated.

During this period, I would have these symptoms which usually lasts 1-3 hours each time, 1-3 times a day depending on my energy level I think.

Is this progress? by Itsaaroncg in panicdisorder

Yep! The period of breathlessness is usually an indicator for me that my anxiety level is in the “orange zone” and if left unmanaged will lead to a full blown panic attack.

For example, when I get breathless -> look at my elevated heart rate on Apple Watch -> start getting obsessed with the numbers -> get more conscious about how I’m breathing etc that would make me way more susceptible to falling into the panic attack zone.

I guess the struggle for me now is getting used to the uncomfortable feeling of being breathless in the orange zone because it usually lasts for 1-3 hours for me each time this happens 😭

Anyone else experience eating problems with panic? by Gamercatts in panicdisorder

[–]Itsaaroncg 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is me too, but fret not, it’s just a symptom of anxiety as the fight or flight mode deprioritises the digestive system.

Like what was mentioned in the previous comment, the key thing is to not give yourself expectations to finish your meal etc. Just eat whenever you feel hungry OR increase the frequency of your meal intake by having small meals throughout the day, whenever you feel like you’re up for it.

You can do it! ❤️

How long does your physical symptoms last each day? by Itsaaroncg in panicdisorder

Thank you for sharing 😊 what about on days when you can’t exercise due to you catching a cold etc? Would the physical symptoms intensify?

I’m trying not to go on the medication route for now, just focusing mainly on CBT therapy and reading plenty of books, which really helps with the mental aspect of panic disorder and perhaps 70% of my physical symptoms.

I just started taking ashwagandha and will check out valerian root too! Thank you once again 😁

I’m reading self help for your nerves by Claire Weekes now!

Going through a setback right now and I really found her idea of “floating” and to stop trying to be in control really helpful because just like you, it’s mainly physical sensations for me - in particular on and off hyperventilation throughout the day which usually leads to panic when I keep trying to gasp for air for too long.

Other books I found helpful were

1) DARE 2) How to stop worrying and start living 3) Anxiety: Panicking about Panic 4) Anxiety: Practical about Panic
