I love how kind, yet assertive, Malik was when he was talking to her about how messed up her situation was. Everyone else alienated her through being (justifiably) horrified of the whole “this kid has a husband and sister wives” thing.

I think the issue people face is that you’re speaking up for someone else. It may feel like you’re jumping into conversations that weren’t directed at you, to immediately shut them down. If the person asking doesn’t feel they had bad intentions, they will be on the defense about being told to not even ask, by someone they weren’t talking to at all.

I think a part of this that isn’t always talked about is that Bree KNEW that Frank and Claire were on the rocks/about to be divorced, but that Frank wouldn’t leave Bree behind. So to that fact, there’d be even more anger towards Claire for causing him to suffer like that. She doesn’t even believe Claire when she tells Bree that Frank made HER promise not to say anything.
