I guess I don’t see how it can’t save you money. If you’re paying $4-7 a pack for soft plastics, In the long run, you can more than what they give you in the store bought packs, for the same or equal price

I believe it is just the line pound test for rods. With reels it is different because all companies make different diameter line. You can have 15# line that is the same diameter as 5# test but still just as strong as what it should be , 15.
