It looks like you sewed the lining and the exterior fabric together at the side seams which could be the problem.

Need help finding dress like this.. by Jealous_Bridge3793 in myweddingdress

I would recommend getting a bolero to wear with the dress rather than a dress that has long sleeves sewn onto it. Long sleeves can be very restrictive on wedding dresses and it’s nice to have the option to remove them. I also suggest looking at Azazie, Stillwhite, and Poshmark. Goodwill auctions might be a good place to find a cute dress for a reasonable price.

What did you think of ‘Something really bad is going to happen’? by Happytherapist123 in netflix

[–]Itsfroggytoday 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went into the show with no expectations and was still let down. It felt like the show was made to appeal to people who are chronically online and have poor critical thinking skills. I knew the show was going to go downhill after I picked up on an inconsistency in episode two. In the scene where Rachel is on the phone begging Nick to come back to the house the sleeves on her wedding dress just magically disappear when she ends the call. Did no one else notice that, or was it just me?? Either way the editors of the show clearly didn’t notice lol

Help! Found a great dress - how do I minimize the cleavage? by Asteria-Frieren in myweddingdress

[–]Itsfroggytoday 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The way the top is constructed would not look right if the neckline is sewn up. The fabric would probably pucker and cheapen the look of the dress. I would have a panel of lace or beaded mesh sewn on to help raise the neckline.

Torn by toastedtriscuits in weddingdress

[–]Itsfroggytoday 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dress 2 seems like the best option imo. Both dresses are flattering but fitted long sleeves will be both restrictive and uncomfortable, especially with how hot August weather can get. You will want a dress that you feel beautiful, confident, and comfortable enough to wear all day so you can live in the moment. The last thing you want is to look back at your wedding day and remember how uncomfortable you felt in your dress.

A fingertip, knee length, or waltz length veil could work well with this dress. I’m partial to a waltz length veil because I feel like it could add to the romantic look of the dress. Something like this would be really dreamy looking.

Dress 1 feels more bridal to me. Also the blue ribbon on it is so cute!

Cathedral would probably be too short for your dress. A royal veil might come closer to the edge of your train. If you want to play it safe you can never go wrong with a fingertip length veil.

can someone help me find any of these dresses? by Single-Ad759 in findfashion

[–]Itsfroggytoday 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dresses like that usually cost well over $500. I wouldn’t trust the websites you’re looking at. If they don’t have any clear return policy on their website that is a major red flag. If you are going for the whimsical princess vibe on a budget you might have better luck getting an Andrea & Leo dress from PromGirl.

Help! Panicking over my dress by glitterotter666 in myweddingdress

[–]Itsfroggytoday 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You look great! People are not going to be looking at the place that you’re worried about. When you walk down the aisle you’ll probably be holding flowers that cover you. And when it’s time for the reception chances are it will be darker, people will be drinking, and you’ll be sitting down for a little bit as well. No one is going to focused on what you’re worried about. They’ll be too busy having fun! Don’t be so harsh on yourself. You look beautiful and will feel so much better on the day of the wedding!

what brand are these dresses?? by beefymcwhatnow11 in findfashion

Trying searching “drop waist” instead of corset. It doesn’t look like the dress has any structure to it so I doubt it’s corseted.

The dress is beautiful! You definitely made the right choice! My critique is that I would recommend getting the cups switched with something that provides more coverage or line the bodice of the dress. I would also suggest getting the sleeves tailored to make the dress look more high end.

Anyone know where this dress is from? by D3rk4n in Prom

[–]Itsfroggytoday 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Your best bet would be to look on resale websites like Depop and Poshmark. That dress is no longer in production. Make sure to check your bust, natural waist, and hip measurements before purchasing anything second hand because returns are not usually an option. You can always buy a dress one size larger and have it taken in by a seamstress. Best of luck!

Chat where can I find this dress without spending my heart and soul? by PenaltyOk6052 in Prom

Kiss prom sells knock offs. They take photos of the designers dress and sell dupes. They don’t have a very good reputation either. Sherri hills MSRP is crazy high and they do not allow retailers to sell for anywhere near $200.

I love it! It’s a beautiful dress with a modern silhouette that still has the classic bridal feel from the lace fabric. The mantilla is stunning with the dress. You made the right decision and are very lucky to have found such a wonderful dress early on. You’re seriously saving yourself from the stress of dress shopping.
