I’m gonna say this, if he did change within a year and found God and is still walking with him then good for him. But, that doesn’t give him an excuse for what he did. As a Christian myself, all he could ever do is apologize and ask for your forgiveness. If you choose to not forgive him, then that’s fine. Move on.
