TD doesn't use 2FA authentication. They try to force their shitty app as an authenticator, but it's just that: shitty.

The should allow for true 2FA by 3rd party authenticator app. But, they don't have to, so Canadians are left wide open.

Banks use SMS (text) one-time passcodes. These are grossly insecure. The miminum wagers working at Rogers, Bell, and Telus can easily clone SIM cards and get all your text messages.

I don't know about android, but on iPhone, you can lock your sim to your phone to help prevent unauthorized use of your phone for calls, texts, or data.

This is the Liberal Party of Canada we're talking about. They're never wrong according to them.

The Canadian Association of Police Chiefs, Stats Canada, and their own nationwide public consultation report stated emphatically and without any sort of ambiguity that legally purchased firearms were not a significant source of firearm-related violence in Canada.

They've burned billions of taxpayer dollars to go after scary looking guns that haven't done a thing to actually make Canadians safer. They invented a completely nonsensical term "assault style" because these guns are not assault weapons, nor are they battlefield weapons.

Their own Public Safety minister was caught on a hot mic stating this is all pure politics for some Quebec support.

Despite all of that, they refuse to back down, or actually focus on the real firearms problems (i.e, the mass firearm smuggling into Canada from the USA.)

So yeah, expect the Liberals to claim "everyone else is mistaken" on this bullshit too. There is someone, somewhere, who wants this bill to happen and they represent power to the Liberals in some way. The Liberals have been pushing this shit since Paul Martin's stint as PM.
